Hi I'm Rasmus. Apparently I use subsekt as my blog, when I'm drunk

Commiserations

When one door closes, another one opens. It'll turn out ok 👍

Thanks, yeah I'm sure it will - right now I'm not hungover and trying to figure out what comes next.

Positive side: I'll get more time for musicking

Negative: my computer is owned by my former employee, so I'll either need to hear if I can buy them from them (they are in financially a bad place, so that might be a possibility). Or I'll need to buy a new one

Haha, I've heard that's the situation from some of my former colleagues. But I'm also taking a loan these days, so I don't need any Inkasso troubles right now ;) (+I'm quite good friends with the guy who's in charge of supplies, so hopefully I can work something out)

I'm really sorry to hear that. It may seem really tough right now but it will improve with time. I hope you get something sorted very soon!

That sucks, even more so because it sounds like it was a surprise. Glad to see you seem to be in a more optimistic mood about it post-hangover.

Damn, thats bad mate
I hope you can get a new job that you like soon.
Dont know how it is in your country, but i once profited from the unemployment program, they gave me money for 3 months until i started my own business.
Even though that program was a pain in the ass and they treat you like a total idiot there, still you can grab some cash there, and that might be just what is needed now

What was your job?
Sad to hear you lost it, but it might just end up being a blessing in disguise if you find something better.

That sucks, hope it all gets better for you soon. I haven't lost mine but here where I live we're all back to full lockdown because of the virus, so it's fucked up as well.

I'm seriously very moved by your responses - I checked out for a couple of weeks (mentally and here), but now I'm in a better place now :)

I'm currently at an Easter get-together, but I'll return in full force Monday <3

Had to buy a new computer, and currently I'm looking for jobs (however the summer holidays are holding back a lot of job posts).

I'm in contact with a few places, and I'm in good spirit - apparently it's a lot different looking for a job with experience as opposed to the opposite :)

I got a bit of a slow start as there were a lot of legal back and forth between my union and my former workplace, but now I have gotten to a point, where I can actually focus on finding something, so all things considered I'm not too bad off :)

I worked as a musicologist, where I was making recommendation models in a music streaming services - the job itself was rather boring, but I had very nice colleagues (that's what I'm missing the most)
