Subsekt 10th Anniversary Vinyl.

Well now.... The admin team have been talking...
Subsekt is 10 years young this November, and we wanted to do something to celebrate.

What better way to celebrate than to come together as a community and put out an anniversary special vinyl release on the Subsekt label?

Discussion is going on in the label forum. You need to ask for access to be involved.
For any that don't, we run the label as a democratic community project.

We vote on who we are releasing, and vote on any major decisions, and collectively finance it.

No cliqueyness, anyone who joins the label group can vote and also submit their own music for voting.

This time around we are looking at putting out a 4 track VA vinyl release. Depending how much funds we raise we may go heavyweight vinyl, full printed sleeves or even double vinyl, who knows, the discussion is just beginning.

We want the release to represent the diversity of Subsekt community, and the underground/punk/idiosyncratic nature of the place. So we really want music that stands out with original ideas.

So if you want to get involved, go to the label forum, and if you aren't a part of the label, ask us for access.
If you've only just joined the forum, you may not get accepted right away as we want people who are actively involved in the community, not just people who have a whiff of a vinyl release and decide they want in.

The label, like Subsekt, is doing things differently. Demonstrating that things can be done collectively, not narcissistically, and in non mainstream ways.

I'm still interested in participating. Not to get my own tracks released (I don't think they're representative of the forum's main trends FWIW) but because there are quite a few members work I like and I think deserve a proper release.
