Berlin in August

Hey hey so my friend and I have been saving our pennies to make a trip to berlin in august for atonal and to just explore the city - Couldn't be more excited to leave california and listen to some quality music (only scene is 2 hours away and it happens once every blue moon haha) it will be our first time in berlin, so any tips or places we should go to. We will be there for two weeks.

Another question for anyone what is the best way to get around berlin - public transportation, cabs, bikes, walking?

Well Stattbad is cool and has some great line ups. But as I said mid august its so hot you want to be outside not in a hot basement... personally I'd rather just hang out at a lake all day....

Tresor is great if you get a good DJ there. Berghain the same, but do not revolve your holiday around Berghain.

Check RA closer to the date there is shit every night really. August is a nice month too. Parks n lakes and nice weather!

As for tourist, i think the week-ticket is a good deal. You can take any bus, underground train plus S-Bahn and tram. The public transport system is very good in Berlin.

bikes are cheap to rent too. but the public transport kicks ass.. has to be in the top 3 in the world. a helluva lot better than ireland anyway.

Yeah I definitely want to try to get into berghain, but we shall see how that goes haha I will definitely be checking out those places and RA for sure! Glad to hear the weather should be nice when we get there, i've read somewhere its not technically "illegal" to drink in public (say at a park) is that true because I definitely wouldnt mind having a lunch in the park accompanied with a cold beer.

All we do in summer is drink in the parks... its technically legal.

Weekly Ubahn ticket for the win. Check that FB group I posted after april it will start to have daily announcements.

As for Berghain shouldn't be problem, just say your Felix da Housecat.

Well, 'til 15g you won't get arrested. Everything over 15g is not seen as "consume only". The cops will take your dope (to smoke it at the department, i guess) and you can go your way.
