It`s why I have actively tried to get all the friends I have to stop smoking, its such a shitty disease and such a crappy way to die for a drug that really doesn`t give you much pleasure in narcotic terms, and it makes you stink too. I don`t want any of my mates to suffer that death (I honestly wouldn`t like any of you to either), and most weren`t REALLY aware of what happens and what it is like, so after seeing it directly myself I decided to illustrate it as lucidly as I could.
Most of my mates have quit smoking, most via e-cigs.
Everyone thinks it won`t happen to them when they light up their cancer sticks, but the statistics are quite horrible.

It`s such a useless death, one that I don`t want personally.

IF I see someone in a club snorting gack, I can`t catch a collapsed septum or a brain aneurysm from them passively, so I`m cool with them doing that.
If I see someone shooting up even, whilst for some reason I think it is a little sad, I can`t catch collapse veins, Hep C or the many other ailments that can come from intravenous drug addiction from them.
So I'm fine with them doing that.
But your shitty cigarette smoke can pollute the air I breath in a closed environment so get to fuck with it you filthy fucker. (colloquial you, not aimed at anyone specific before some forum Paladin suddenly leaps out and accuses me of having a go).
Anti smoking laws were originally brought in to protect employees (bar staff, waiting staff etc, and of course people you work in the office with who don`t want your cancerous smoke). There`s nothing nanny state about it, it`s a good idea.

Agreed with all the above points.

It's usually entertaining asking people why they smoke, as it is really a grown up version of sucking your thumb (aside from you have to pay for it and you harm yourself/others in the process) the entertainment value being when people try to claim otherwise or justify it to themselves, usually rather awkwardly.

I detect a nerve has been struck though so, no offence intended msl/other lurking smokers.

I hear they make exceptions for pretty young boys on the right nights. You should be fine, just bring plenty of vaseline.

No the main floor is closed, but Panorama Bar is open and sunday night is the best night there. More house than techno, but it depends on who is playing.

No, you are wrong. Berghain is always open on sunday nights, you can see when the last DJ starts on their website.
Last weekend Rodhad played the closing and he started at midnight (so from sunday to monday).
