Re: Is there a problem ?
I'd say yes, there is a problem. Even a big problem.
But the real problem is that even this rip off is recognized, UZB will change his name to SNTS to DAFUQ and the whole shit will start over again.

Re: Is there a problem ?
clearly "inspired" but I would not call it a total ripoff. The main element was pretty much copied 1:1 but there is a difference in Energy and Arrangement (just skipped through on shitty laptop speakers so..)
I don't think it's that bad

Not inspired by, he's sampled the whole track and layered "dark techno" bullshit over it.
Same bullshit he has been doing his whole career.
Cunt.

gotta make it all sound fuckin trendy
if there's a classic, why not take it and update it with all the latest trendy fads
you know, make it pop! make it sizzle! give it cut through!

Honestly at this point there is much of this shit I think we should just leave it alone, distance discussion from it and look at the positives.
Discuss the people who are genuinely doing good and interesting work and who operate with honesty and integrity.
I might start a thread where we can talk about this as an antithesis to this slurry of bullshit.

Re: Is there a problem ?
Agreed. We should try to focus on the ones who do things right instead of those who don't, otherwise it gets quite depressing really.Lost to the Void wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2019 3:49 pmHonestly at this point there is much of this shit I think we should just leave it alone, distance discussion from it and look at the positives.

Steve Create Subforum TechnoIcke .
However I can agree with you guys, I mean production wise it's really decent however it feels a bit downgrading as well, people can get away with things and they don't give a flying fuck, but it's reality we living...

Thirded. It's really tiring to read about the latest, daily, techno controversy.Evert wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2019 4:23 pmAgreed. Re: Is there a problem ?
Shame. I liked some of his music, but this kind of thing loses my support.
Sampling is great, but there's no integrity in taking the main musical idea from your same genre, building something around it, and then giving no recognition to the original creator.

We should talk more about the positives 100%
But also I want to know who the cheaters and fakers really are. I don't want to be supporting the wrong people in the "scene"

Completely. I would hate to think I had ever bought a track from someone who rips off others work.

Shine a light on every shyster out there doing this is what I say, and post it all over social media to get as much light on it as possible.

Re: Is there a problem ?
On the one hand, it is quite depressing that so many people out there are so fucking pathetic. On the other, it makes me feel infinitely better about the tunes I make. They might not be amazing, but I know I synthesised and tweaked every last damn bit of them myself. Which apparently puts me above some* people I might otherwise look up to. Also handy to know what not to buy. So name and shame imo.
*it is only some though, and should definitely remember to highlight the people who are actually really good and might be getting lost in a sea of fakes.

Cancer.
You have to systematically create confusion, it sets creativity free. Everything that is contradictory creates life.
