Different Peak readings
Different Peak readings
Hi,
when using voxengo span and ableton spectrum on the same sound I get peaks at different frequencies.
Am I just thick or does anyone else have the same problem?
Not sure which one to believe...

Re: Different Peak readings
Everything depends on settings, slow, fast, bias, samples etc
Re: Different Peak readings
I already thought that there wasnt an easy answer to that.
Are there any recommendations whether to use one or the other and if so which settings to use to be able to tune drums correctly.
I am really struggleing with this unfortunately.

Re: Different Peak readings
Just use your ears to tune your drums.
Re: Different Peak readings
Probably much better than doing things wrong trying to make it "good by the book"
Re: Different Peak readings
Maybe different Slope/Tilt Settings. Span is 4,5 dB per Octave default i think (appears more in the mid freqs and above).
And as Void said, the resolution, you can switch Span on High Resolution, totally different picture.
