Spectrum Anlyzer Problem !

Hello,

I am currently watching tutorials on mixing and stuff like that.

And i have a problem. Let me explain it with images.

Here is what the same kick does on different spectrum analyzers.

EQ EIGHT - We can see that the kick is hitting around 52 Hz
Image

SPECTRUM - Here, same thing ...

And here comes the problem ... When I use PAZ from Waves, kick seems to hit around 66Hz
Image

And same shit with SPAN Plus

But when i put SPAN Plus in HIGH RES, here is the result.

Any idea of WTF is going on here ? Might be stupid, but it's the first time for me in spectrum analyzer.

Thanks for your help.

i think the problem is, that you have to set the spectrum analyser to read the signal slowly / in high resolution.
and id say the kick has its fundamental at 52 hz instead of 66 hz. depends on how you have set that other plugin up it might show you some quick peak measurement, that might not be accurate

Firstly
Use your ears.
If you are getting that anal with spectrum analysers then you are doing it wrong.

Analyser response will depend on timing settings.
More than likely the initial transient of the kick (like most electronic kicks) is a fast sweeping sine. The initial fast transient will rise briefly, then the tail will pitch down.
Hence in high res\fast you are catching the early transient at 50 ish Hz, and at slower speed you are catching the height of the transient peak at around 66hz or whatever.

Does it matter?
