Keen to give this as a full watch from start to finish, looks like a great talk!
Re: Surgeon talks modular synths and his live setup at Eleva
I really like Surgeon's philosophy on restricting his gear and learning how to explore the possibilities within it. I also like that he obviously hasn't become just a euronerd, he barely knows what modules he has himself - very focused on how the gear can serve his creativity and music.

I think it's great that a seasoned pro is asking the new and younger generation for advice on techniques etc. I think that is class.

I did like that part, too. Was refreshing to see a bit of a "this is what I do, how I do it, and how would you approach this yourself?" type of conversation/discussion on the whole concept, rather than a straightforward "This is how it's setup, I'm not changing it, and this is how you should all do it" type angleMslwte wrote:I think it's great that a seasoned pro is asking the new and younger generation for advice on techniques etc. I think that is class.
Re: Surgeon talks modular synths and his live setup at Eleva
Was surprised to hear how he said he doesnt really use any modular in the studio..
Dont take life so seriously
Re: Surgeon talks modular synths and his live setup at Eleva
hmm he said he uses it in the studio for making raw elements and then arranges them in computer. it's the last question asked.RWise wrote:Was surprised to hear how he said he doesnt really use any modular in the studio..
Re: Surgeon talks modular synths and his live setup at Eleva
Haha, yeah, was cool at the end when he was like "I'll just watch for a bit." No bs ..
Re: Surgeon talks modular synths and his live setup at Eleva
