Super dangerous tool if used too much but it's a lovely software!

Neat! Thanks for the heads up.
This looks equal parts useful and also lazy af. I suppose it could be used to teach better mixing.

Any recommendations of where you like to use it Mattias? And also maybe things you'd steer clear of?

Yeah....
Great software, but I think it bypasses learning.
What I mean is it`s the kind of software noobs use as a fix for bad technique and cover their mixes with it, and it`s not really a fix, more of a last ditch problem solver when you have no choice.

It`s something to be used when the recording engineer is one of those guys who utters the famous line "Ah, we`ll fix it in the mix".

My philosophy is to fix the problem at source, and then if you have no choice, you can bring something like this in.

The only time I have used this (I have it) is recently I was doing a mix and master for a Goth/Doom band, and some of the parts could not be re-recorded, and there were inconsistencies in the vocal tracking. Even then I wasn`t totally happy with the results in all applications and ended up just doing it by hand in some cases.
It worked well in some areas, not so good in others.

Addressing terrible recordings (voice / masterbus) that is beyond rescue at the source. I've mastered some field recordings from crowd space of a bands live gigs
that been messy as hell and this one became gold to fix it somewhat decent.

For music...well I'm using it to tame CR78 hihats. A more practical and unusual use is to delta the signal of a bus (with the Soothe as an insert) with loads going on, effect it and blend in some dry signal to the bus again. Makes a quite interesting sound.
