Answer to second pic: that might be a trick question so my answer is: thats only one midi which is broken

Third one: i cant spot anything in that jungle
1. most likely both of them are broken, since they are above my wooden boards that I made to keep all my cables under.
I could have gone for putting them under my floor, but I preferred to make these boards (which I can walk upon), so that just in case I have a problem,
I can just lift these up and replace the cables. However, most of the time, replacing them means like opening 15 straps with tons of other cables in as well,
and then taking out the broken one and putting in the new one. It's still a pain in the ass...

2. That was the jungle at the back of my racks photographed from the good side. Notice how they are still color coded though !! ;)

nowadays I use SW for like 80% of what I do, so if I was in any way a smart guy, I would be far better off selling a lot of my gear.
but I just can't let go of most of what I still have now.
I guess I am just too attached to having synths in some physical format as well.

btw : if you buy MIDI cables, buy the better quality ones.
When I redid my whole studio like 6 years ago,
I had to buy a lot of new cables,
the only ones I had breaking down so far were always MIDI cables,
must have had at least 5 or so break down in the last few years,
while I almost never had any breaking down in the 15 years before that.
