The stages basically introduce a more coloured sound and get darker though it's not as simple as that as it varies between the models.

It is explained in the manual, but an even better way of learning it is enabling tool tips which has been added in this update. If you click the klanghelm logo and enable tool tips, you get an explanation of each parameter of sdrr when you hover over it, really handy for getting to know it.

This update is really nice.

How does the sound of V2 compare to V2? haven't had the time to test it yet.

It did sound really nice before but I found if pushing it too much didn't sound so nice to my ears but in v2 it actually sounds lovely to me when going overboard with it.

Been using SDRR2 today and I'm impressed. I loved the first one but the new version is even better, amazing.

Do you all use it for something special, like has it any task where it's extra useful for? Or am i happy and don't need this, when i already own soundtoys decapitator? :)

Decapitator shines with balls to the walls distortion, SDRR is great to just add a bit of smoothing out (tube mode) or edge (desk mode) to sounds.

Definitely quite different and worth owning both. I find SDRR very useful on kicks, although I haven't had it for long and still learning it.
