Thanks!
I assume this could apply to mac, im on pc but what i do is mount the file with Daemon tools lite, then I use a program called CDXtract to either save to .wav or Aiff, or just the whole program file for say Kontajt or Ableton Sampler
Tried it, for some reason Daemon tools doesn't want to mount mdx files on Mac...
What happens? I use the quickmount option, I don't get a recognition sound or anything and windows can't 'see' the virtual drive ( F in my case ) but when I click on the 'F' drive inside of CDXtract, the partitions become available. Some files I'm able to mount on a virtual drive from CDXtract itself but not the mdx files. Other than that, I have no clue as I'm not on Mac.

When I try to mount it with Daemon tools I get this: "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer."

Sounds like some sort of 'auto-follow-on' whereby the computer is automatically trying to read the mounted file when what you're wanting to do is just mount it and have CDXtract read it. When I get some time, I'm gonna batch convert everything to wav, if there's something you want and can't access, I could sort it out for you. I'm not including the program files though, so there aren't patches to load in say Sampler/Kontakt. The reason is, sometimes the conversion process messes up the patch and it just doesn't work. All I'm after is the multisampled old synths, analog and digital and its no effort to manually map those in a sampler anyway.

Yeah.. they keep adding stupid stuff to every new macOs, trying to block 3rd party stuff... If I try really hard I can probably solve it, but spent to much on it already so whatever...
But yeah, would be great if you could upload the wav files from these releases:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9PpR2 ... Z3aUE/view
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... HVydEFfUWs
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... UVkTnBRY0E

Thanks for your help!

I think I already converted the first 2 to wav, haven't got the last one yet. I'll get round to uploading them and post the links.

Try this one, free sample pack: http://www.blumarten.com/product/jungle ... mple-pack/

• Contents – 650+ breaks, basses, pads, riffs, hits, vocals & FX
• All samples taken from vinyl or CD and saved as 16bit WAVs.
• No mp3s were involved at any point in the process.
• All samples are cropped and normalized.
• The earliest sample is from 1989 and the latest is from 1999.
• This pack was created for fun and is not to be sold. All rights remain with the original creators of the samples. If you use these samples for commercial purposes you need to seek the appropriate clearance. We can’t help you with that, unfortunately.

Daemon Tools can be used to read MDX files on PC&Mac systems.
But, in order to use them you first have to convert the MDX file into a ISO file/image.
The image created then can later be mounted and extracted with CDXTRACT or Chicken Systems Sampler Tools.
You are also able to mount the ISO image files/burnt ISO image disks, and load them up through Kontakt.
Older version's of Ableton Live, did use to support the loading of nki files.
I am pretty sure it was removed due to some kind of licensing deal with Ni.

Good call. This sample pack is amazing, plus Mr Blu Mar Ten seems like an alright fella when I've seen him post on forums.

Can you explain further how to convert the MDX to an ISO with Daemon Tools so that I can open it on my Mac? I think I created an ISO containing the MDX, but I think all that did was cause an ISO/MDX inception ;)

I just downloaded tons of these sample CDs and it's a huge tease because I can't seem to do anything with them! Thanks!

Your welcome!

Very usefull in combination with Ableton's Simpler. Just slice it, and play around with effects. Can add some nice percussion to a techno track

All you are doing is converting the file formats from MDX to Iso.
D.tools does convert them very fast.

Open the image you want to convert by selecting
the MDX file.
The mdx file is to be loaded, "not mounted", as the "source file".

The ISO file is just one of the types of files that can be selected as the "output file".
So select ISO as your output file and click convert/process.

Once you create the iso image, you can then mount that file.

Thanks, but I see no option to do any conversion in this trial version of D.Tools. Do you have D.Tools Pro?

DAEMON Tools Pro Advanced --> Has the option to convert the file image.
I didn't see the convert option in the standard version.

Well, seems like Daemon tools sucks for Mac users, .mdx doesn't work and the Pro version that converts .mdx to .iso is PC only. Any bright ideas? Thanks for the help delve.

For anyone trying to open the files at this site and failing:

According to Daemon Tools tech support the .mdx files there are corrupted. I thought I wasn't able to open them because they were incompatible with Macs, but through some back and forth we determined there is something wrong with them. Feel free to try if you must, but I am attempting to spare you the effort :)

Every file I have downloaded from there has been fine ( I'm not on a Mac though ) I have successfully converted them by opening the images in Daemon Tools lite, then I've been opening CDXtract and browing for the virtual drive and opening that and then converting. No issue at all.
