No I wont tell you! Ever.Hades wrote:what are you using to put it online ?Mattias wrote: I took some time to fix the parts for The Science Beyond, most likely online today.
There's some good things to know about it all but I'll post all valuable info regarding that later.
if you tell me, I can use the same method to upload my Patroclus stems.

Re: A subsekt remix competition?
Ok find my package containing the parts of my track The Science Beyond below.
goo.gl/UdMD86
The track is available from pretty much everywhere but the label Bandcamp site is here for full listening:
https://gynoidaudio.bandcamp.com/track/ ... nce-beyond
Few notes worth to know regarding the parts:
§1 Due to the way I work and make things, several of the sounds are simply not isolated. Many channels are routed to busses where I
crunch them together, twist & turn them. They do not work outside of this context. Also the complete sonic atmosphere is slightly lost
unless all sounds plays together due to glue compression over my master bus. These are cut into loops. Moreover the ability to individually tweak the
separate sounds like I do throughout most of my music is also lost this way. Subtle volume changes and panning, driving into hard buss-processing gives movement and
it's something I do a lot. So yeah, loads of channels are actually ending up as a few stereo-channels due to this.
§2 The 808 patterns are in it's unified state throughout the track with it's actual progression. Same thing here as above, all channels are sent to a buss.
Not to mention that everyone got 808 sounds so it's useless to send them channel by channel. The thing here is how the sounds are processed and progress
through the track.
§3 The main synth line evolves throughout the track so it's isolated and not cut into loops. It's just as lengthy as the 808 buss.
§4 All small quirks and twists throughout the tracks are no new sounds, just live tweaking of events of all already available elements.
This is a quite common way of providing parts for remixing others.
Looking forward to hear what you ladies and gents will come up with. The track itself was meant to be a very forward & energy providing dance-floor rumbler.
Any questions please let me know.

Re: A subsekt remix competition?
I am excited for this!
Re: A subsekt remix competition?
More than high heels? Can't compute...
Re: A subsekt remix competition?
Thanks for the effort Mattias. I already loaded up the files in Ableton and messed around with them for a bit. I will take my time to complete it though. It's a nice track so it deserves my best effort. Really looking forward to see what everyone else will do with the track aswell! Now let the games begin .Mattias wrote:Ok find my package containing the parts of my track The Science Beyond below.

Re: A subsekt remix competition?
Haha, regardles: Wow this is easy! No wonder people do so many remixes. 20 minutes and I almost have a full track
Re: A subsekt remix competition?
That's what we have Hades track for. You get some horny french vocals as an added bonus
Re: A subsekt remix competition?
Although I have to say, i've used almost all the parts and still, it sounds little like the original now. I guess that's the hard part?
Re: A subsekt remix competition?
Aaaand I just lost the remix to a dumb mistake... pressed ctrl+X accidently to delete the bass and drum groups and then hit ctrl+S because I wanted to save. That never happend to me before, lol.
Re: A subsekt remix competition?
That was a fun distraction, thanks to Mattias for making this happen
Did this while updating (a lot) of drivers in the hopes of fixing a bunch of really nasty errors I keep getting, so I guess that could explain why it sounds a bit jumpy Needs a slower buildup and spacing of elements I guess, I'll see if I can fix it up a bit over the weekend.

how far do you want to go
Re: A subsekt remix competition?
I'm getting a bit pigeonholed here for my Jeune & Jolie track.TimBuys wrote:That's what we have Hades track for. You get some horny french vocals as an added bonus
Patroclus has Jack Nicholson and a little Rita Hayworth, but afaik no French stuff.
I was checking out that google drive stuff earlier to upload my track but then real life got in the way,
(with the lovely highlight of me and the mrs getting funky on the couch and my 9 year old who was supposed to be in bed walking in on us, fucking hell,... )
if insomnia isn't killing me, I'll upload the files tomorrow (well, technically today)

Re: A subsekt remix competition?
Well here's my shot at it. Didn't try to reinvent the wheel but thought this came out with a bit of a new take on the original.
Re: A subsekt remix competition?
god damn it you guys all work so fast
I expect you guys to work at least 17 days on the remix of my track,
you ungrateful cunts !

Re: A subsekt remix competition?
Exactly. It shouldn't be an edit of the original it should be a remix injected with your own energy, emotion and ideas after alldubdub wrote:Although I have to say, i've used almost all the parts and still, it sounds little like the original now. I guess that's the hard part?

Re: A subsekt remix competition?
It's great to have two completely different tracks to work on. Each will have challenges of their own.
Re: A subsekt remix competition?
Are the Hades parts up already? Don't see them anywhere in this thread.
