Some advice on my room
Hey friends. My name is Steve and I am new to this site, I just found it a while ago and have been studying it since. Such a fantastic forum.
Just looking for so.e advice on my room which I'll attach pictures of with this post. Im trying to produce music in my girlfriend's bedroom. The room is about 12 ft by 15 feet. I think I can rearrange the bed so I can have a flat wall to put my workstation and instruments but the bed will be directly behind me probably about 2 feet behind my listening position. I don't think I have a chance of acoustically treating this room unless I get free standing panels but then I have no where to store them when they are not in use.
At the moment I use ultrasone pro 2900 open back headphones which I love but I'm so tired of using headphones and feel not having monitors might be killing my production.
Should I get monitors? They would be placed right against the wall if I do. Anyone else working in a similar situation?
I live in Toronto at the moment so renting a separate studio space is out of the question due to expense.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Re: Some advice on my room
Its the decor.
If you want to make mnml or buttport techno - It needs more black paint and neon highlights to get you in the mood.
If you want to make (pretend) dark shit - it needs some gas masks
If you want to make dub techno - get some jah lion rastafari flags
etc.
