Waves Smack Attack (transient shaper)

What do you guys think of this? I've never had too much luck with transient shapers (and already have a couple). But given that I frequently have snare transient issues, this one looks intriguing.

My experience with Waves has also been...bleargh. At leas this one doesn't look like it's straight outta 2003.

SPL transient designer looks quite cool (and simple). Would have to wait for a sale though!

Besides of what transient designer is good, do you use this a lot? I tried for some time the dominion vst but somehow i didn't continue to use it. Maybe it's because lack of knowing when and why to use it. For example, i'm using an analogue drum synth that can thape the transient through it's parameters. why should i use another tool to do this?

I haven't even heard of Waves Smack Attack or whatever it is, I have tried a few transient designers/shapers though and actually find the Waves Trans-X to get me results I like. I can't speak for anyone else but I get the kind of shapes I want with it so I really like it but I fiddle a lot and combine it with other things in a back and forth process of processing and resampling so it's not a one-stop solution for me and it forms a process of quite a few other things.
