I didn`t particularly care though, I was looking for a sound I wanted and I got what I wanted.
Gearslutz stopped being worthwhile a long time ago. Most on there poopoo anything out of the norm. It`s old fartsville.
Everything is still being discussed. Artwork hasn't been sorted and label hasn't decided on the final tracks yet.
This year some time.
Re: Stompboxes
I'm loving this right now:
Fully analog, keeps a beefy low end even when it's driving hard and takes line-level signals - so it's a piece of piss to run channels out of my DAW through it, which really suits my "studio on the go" approach (basically, I only get time to make music on lunchbreaks at work at the moment).
Not the gnarliest distortion in the world, but brings a nice warmth and weight to the party. Recommended.

Re: Stompboxes
I have one of these I could sell you:
definitely can be used subtly for character, and its tone can be shaped more than most pedals as it has a simple 1 band EQ.

Re: Stompboxes
Absolutely. In fact even with all the knobs up, it's a relatively subtle overdrive, but with lots of warmth.Alume wrote:Totalcunt, does it add some character when used subtlely
Re: Stompboxes
it's a fairly rare pedal that usually sells for $100-150 but we could work something out, I'm pretty open. I've been meaning to sell it because I usually just overdrive a mixer if I want outboard saturation, and I've been doing more of my colouring in the box lately too.Alume wrote:how much? and why sell?

Distro wouldn't risk a double LP, so label is doing a 4 track 12inch in September then another at the end of the year.
Pretty chuffed, it's a label I've always wanted to release on but never really had anything I thought was right for it.

Re: Stompboxes
I don't know. The guy is coming to London and I'm gonna meet him and I guess we'll work out a strategy. He's talking about doing a gig to promote it all, so I don't know. I guess whenever the label does its next party after the one coming up.
I'm not even sure if I can announce it here.
It's a pseudonym (involving another member of this forum) and the label might want to keep it under wraps. But It might be ok to talk about it here, we are all friends and it's not exactly resident badadvisor.

Re: Stompboxes
Nonetheless, congrats on that. Promotion gigs are always nice and hearing your material on a big system is a +. Is it a limited project btw, similar to the 50 numbered copies etc.
