A nice Synthi A just sold for $10,000 after being listed for a whole 3 hours on another forum

I was critical of this before (for not being a synthi clone) but looking more at recent demos/progress I think this will be very nice as its own thing. Assuming it's reasonably priced I would definitely get one.

Portabella is 6000 eur plus VAT. Less than 6 month wait time.

Erica are bringing out a synthi a-like but with different guts. Digi matrix allows patch recall but they chose to use etch-a-sketch style navigation rather than pushing the individual buttons (would be better).

What was their lead time for other synths they’ve cloned, from leaks to having a finished product?

Behringer has one in the making.

I was wondering if this was going to happen. I would be interested in this.

They seem to average about 2 years.

Same. One things for sure, it'll be a lot cheaper than the others.

erica box looks nice enough in its own right (doesnt sound ems)... still pricey though @ 3k-ish.

soma seem to have their price points much better and are shifting a lot due to that + their unique designs/approach.

be interesting to see what behringer come up with. its one thing to clone a sh101 or pro1, quite another to go at a synthi

Yeah that Erica doesn't have the synthi sound at all.
I guess it's more "based on" than "sounds like".

Even if behringers clone is just an attempt at recreating the synthi, its still going to be super interesting/crazy.

This looks very interresting, not a clone but somthing special.
I just came on here to post about this. I was just watching that video, and while I know it ain't no VCS3, it's still quite tasty - some nice sounds and the matrix and joystick help set it apart. If I had a spare couple of grand I think I'd be ordering.
