Which one did you end up getting, I've been looking at the epm8 myself.

Didn't you use to use that one?

If not it seems to tick your boxes and its around 150 euros second hand.

Well everyone has told me to just my technical rider to get a mixer for gigs, so fuck it.
I have the efx8 which I was going to cart about, but now I think I want something to facilitate recording the live gear.

So I want 8-12 Channels, something that will work in USB so I can record the individual channels to computer.

Any ideas?

soundcraft signature mtk 12?

if you want to get fancier and want a ton of power in a compact package- allen and heath qu-pac is great from what I hear. no physical faders but the qu architecture is great and I love my QU32, the qupac has the same internal engine/power just more done from the touch screen and hotkeys. the people who have them for live gigs seem to love them though. qu16 sounds like it would be big for you

it's too bad they don't make the signature 16 in an MTK version. the 22 is a little big and the 12 a little tight on channels. the 16 looks nice and adds another band to the eq

I get on fine with 3 band and mid sweep, I need to EQ less and less these days.

Yo Voidloss,

You could have a look on the Allen & Heath Mixwizard WZ4 series, i didnt heard this model by myself, but it have 4 band eq (2 mid swept), and at least for me mostly of the stuff from A&H doesn't sound bad..

I have a signature mtk 12 for a couple of months now and am liking it a lot. Some of the built in fx are very usable too.

I was looking for more of a garden variety interface but the MTK looks awesome.

Connectivity wise - are the other similar looking but cheaper 12ch USB mixers from Yamaha and Behringer etc able to record all 12 channels simultaneously and route back out again or is that the Soundcraft's unique advantage? All the others just do stereo in/out over USB right?

if you don't like it and want to return it try the Allen & Heath Zed 18. Got the Zed 10 myself, it's really a nice piece of equipment, great sound and robust feeling and a very decent price for what you get. Good luck!
