Looks legit, though I'm not sure why they would go there.

Whats with all these product types being sequenced in the same way i.e the "cheap" mono wave(korg, arturia, vermona. etc), the modular inplementeble units(moog. pitsburg, makenoise) and now the drum synth (korg, arturia).

Maybe its just me though. I guess 420 euros is about right, liking those individual outs

Anyway I wouldn't buy this, mfb has enough analog drum machines in various price ranges.

And I would have named it the Beatbrute:))

Accidently released. Whoops :)

Today I had chance to try it out. It was a great little beast! Far better in my opinion than the new 909 by roland.
I built some great loops pretty fast up and the onboard fast beat repeat fx with the filter... INSTANT HIPSTER PERFORMANCE!

There are yeah 2 kicks, the first one is great because it does not want to sound like a 909 copy, sadly it couldn't go very low and beefy but we have a 2nd kick which is 808 stylish subkiller. Everything is under your hands, those pads feel great, this thing is the party itself.

I really want to love this, lots of very interesting features on it, especially for the individual outs, that is superb, and it just looks really nice and solid, seems a fair price point, whats not to love? But what I've heard of it on the videos hasn't really blown me away. Obviously youtube videos are not gonna be great for that, but still, you can usually get a feel, and I'm a little underwhelmed sound wise. Just seems a touch generic, more limited than it could be maybe. I dunno maybe I'm just being a contrarian. I definitely intend to have a play with it in a shop, cause there are a LOT of killer features. I wasn't impressed by the microbrute either, until I borrowed one for a few weeks, and decided that actually it's very decent.

The sounds do come across as a bit generic, but I will be playing with it in my local shop. They always sell arturia gear. It has massive potential.

Without reading and watching all the gumpf, does it have it have parameter lock style functionality?

Lazy James!

Yeah.. I'd be interested in that too. Haven't seen any evidence of that or motion/ phrase recording- whatever in any of those vids.

There's always someone who wants more lol

Ha. There's plenty of people who have no doubt slated every recent drum machine for not having individual outs slating this one for having 12 - but using minijacks. I do get that but it actually seems reasonable to me, keeps the size sensible. The outs, plus the master filter, plus the adjustable pattern length per part, plus the accent per part, plus the repeat thing, plus the randomizer, damn, it really does have a lot of potential. Looking forward to a chance to play with one.

I think once the anal logs fuss dies down a lot of people (once we are literally swimming in drumachines) will realise that analog drums are kinda samey sounding.
Mix it with some fm or wavetable anf it might get interesting but whilst the trend is retro we are going to leep getting these tyoes of sounds again and again.

However, I might get one, I dont have any analog drums in my live setup and this meets price and feature requirements, at least it doesnt cost the same as the anal log rhythm, which is a high price to pay for a similar sound, I sold mine.
