I own a drumbrute and I'm not sure how people have found it wimpy. The kicks are proper thumpy and if you turn the decay and tone up you can get some nice tails on there.

The hats seem to divide people but if you use the filter on board to cut the lows and boost the resonance, you can gt some pretty silky hats out of it.

I owned a TR8 and, to my ears and chest the DB sounds bigger, even if it is more limited in sounds.

Think I'm going to sell mine. Interface/build are good for the money, just not crazy about half the sounds and don't want to have to do a ton of processing to everything to be able to make it usable.

Still on the lookout for a good knobby drum machine. Hoping the new malekko box delivers. Also tempted by the tanzmaus for the sound but idk about mfb interfaces...
