Long shot, but is anyone using their Elektron with Overbridge and Cubase v7.0.x (not 7.5, 8, 9 etc). This is running in Windows 7 64 bit.

Just got the Rytm a few days ago and Overbridge installs properly, I see movement on the meters in the Overbridge Control Panel but when I open the Rytm as a VST Instrument in Cubase I get nothing. I've tried lots of different combinations of drivers, USB ports on my PC, lots of general troubleshooting etc but it isn't working.

I got in touch with Elektron support who were pretty good for the first couple of messages, but the most recent response is
Not sure how well it Overbridge works in Cubase 7
Not really the answer I was hoping for TBH. I'll carry on messing around with it but I'd love to know if anyone else has got it working with the same version of Cubase (7.0.7).

Dunno, OT will arrive in 5 days. My first thing to do is to route all things. Planning to route the Dominion 1 and outputs of my soundcard to the OT so I can sample all shit (especially YouTube so I'll become the next Emmanuel).

Looking forward to jam around as the missus and kid are away next week.

Rytm users: wondering if you might share some examples of your Rytm in action. I don't care if they're full-fledged tracks, random sketches, whatever--I'd just like to hear a variety of examples from actual techno people (not just some YT tech-house bullshit videos).

Have had my eyes on one for a while now. Might pull the trigger this year.

Will see if i can improve some stuff. Will record the whole thing so that you can listen to the tweaking or skip to the end?

As promised, just some quick sketches. All drums and effects are straight out the RYTM's main out recorded into Ableton. Synth lines from the Dominion 1.

No further processing except some mild compression on Live's master channel to glue things....

How are you using it in your workflow with Maschine and your DAW? Been lusting for one myself.

I plan to sell the maschine. Haven't touched it in a good six months. The octatrack loaded with decent samples is miles better. I use the octatrack and minibrute together which is absolutely amazing but I don't see the maschine and octatrack being the best blend.

The whole idea I bought the octatrack was to get away from using a DAW and change my workflow in the hope of not making the same beats over and over. I think I would use ableton, just now atleast, for a quick mastering and eq at the end and probably some operator as I don't own a poly at the moment.

Right enough, you could fart into the octatrack and destroy the sample into something interesting, I love it.
