I own the Rytm and the Four. Also have a Strymon Timeline which is plugged into the Four permanently. These are presently my only bits of hardware, aside from controllers.

I love the Rytm, it is used in every track pretty much. I have always wanted a 909, and for the time being, it fills that hole. It doesnt have the exact sound, but can get pretty close mixing samples and synthesis together.

I love the BD, BT and HC sounds more than anything. RC is a bit weak, but the 909 used PCM waves anyway, so samples are fine for me. I am getting better at shaping the CH and OH into what I want. SD is something that I only started using recently, and it's not as bad as I thought when I started.

I am really looking forward to Overbridge, as I can see shaping each sound individually in Ableton Live is going to open up some real possibilities.

That's a cool delay you got there. What made you choose it over an Eventide?

I'd read a lot about it online, and it seemed that the Strymon had the edge in users opinions. I went to a guitar shop to try it out and the guy was raving in about it, and pointed out a weak point in the Eventide box, namely that preset selection was more fiddly. I'd made my mind up anyway and I love this box. I want more of the Strymon stuff.

We need diversity of opinion and yet not so many that it just becomes noise. So yeah if we can get 42 owners in here then we can have a fruitful discussion.

So what is your overall verdict on this thing after having it for a while?

Post some links to some work you have done with it, please! I would love to check out the results.

sorry for triple posting. just trying to keep this thread alive.

elektronauts user kotare has awesome stuff up. especially shows how experimental you can get with the rytm.
(it's not ALL rytm. he shas some external stuff in there but the rytm carries it all)

Are there any proper video examples of RYTM doing something other than regurgitated tool techno of the last decade? I'm just not getting that "wow factor" from it. I've seen some complex stuff on a Tempest, but I just can't get any convincing evidence of the RYTM being what people say that it is.
