Oskar, damn, despite the low-ish bpm, those sad arps really got to me and managed to drag me into an infinite loophole. Very good track ! not sure about the very long break tho

Amobe, I think the main synth could use some shorter delay note, but that's just me, otherwise it sounds heavenly soothing and relaxing.

Here is something i'm working on myself, trying to get that Arsenik records feel, imitating some modular and old school bleeps.

since my power conditioner is in for repair, my studio is down at the moment... :(
I just hope that when I get it back, everything is still fine.
I just don't dare to try out shit at the moment...

oskar, thats some banging track right there
reminds me of sleeparchive for the bleeps and dax j for the lowend.
as prophan already said, id make the break shorter, and maybe even the whole track shorter. 6 mins would be enough for me.
mix sounds good, the elements are well arranged
big ups!

Guy's thank you for the lovely comments, and ya'll are absolutely right that break was done in a hurry before I would get sick of the track and is totally a half assed job :D

Will fix it for sure, you guys just made my day so much better thank you all :)

@Prophan; I'm digging that track as I love bleeps unlike some other member here
Although I think you could most definitely go crazy with delay on them bleeps, like go to town with automating wet/dry, eq and feedback.

nice prophän!
the lowned got some proper weight, and the bleeps are nice. abit more variation of the elements in the track would be nice.
and i feel theres not enough highend compared to the thick lowend area. maybe the hats are also just to low in the mix
or some smooth pad like atmospheric thing could suite the track i think

Fuckin hell!

It's a bit 'full on'. It sounds well produced to me. I can't really take listening to the whole thing though   Too nightmarish, like being chased by killer giant spiders in a dark tunnel.

Thanks Jordan mission accomplished  I've been a bit angry lately as I injured myself and had to stop working... Again....
But to be honest I've always been more on the dark side of things

Overall I like the riff and the composition of the track... so that means I think it's a great track - there are two things, though:

There's something about the clap, that overshadows a lot of things when it enters. I don't know if the decay's too long, or if it just need some more EQ'ing, or if should just be used more sparsely. At 3:14, there's fewer elements going on, and I like it a lot more there.

I'm not too much a fan of the distorted kick. I think those work best, if the rest of the track is approached in a skeletal way... here' I think it just clouds the low end instead of smacking you in the balls.

But then again - these are only issues concerning the timbre, so it should be easy to fix, because I do think you have created a great track! :)

Hey amobe,

the clap has some delay and reverb to it, maybe that's what bothering you.

I dont' really understand what you mean by approaching the track in a skeletal way, if you could explain more that would be wonderful.

Thank you for your feedback !

erm... removing the meat so that the track stands back with only it's skeleton - I wrote it because I think your track is most effective in the places where, there are fewer elements going. Well my main issue is probably the clap, which I think is programmed really nice, but it takes up quite a lot of space, so "cutting" some meat on it might make it more effective :)

Hey guys and gals,

It's been a while, but here's a new project of mine:
https://soundcloud.com/corrosief/accept ... ip/s-DSFZo

I feel like the arrangement is kind of done now, but suggestions are welcome of course. I'd really love to know your thoughts on the mix.

Cheers

Definitely right, I just discovered I had unintentionally deleted the eq on that clap (or maybe I never bothered to put an eq on it  ), definitely fixed now I will try to post an updated version

I gave it a quick listen yesterday on my headphones downstairs,
I think it's pretty good (and the mix already sounded great on my headphones,
though it misses something extra along the way of the track,
but I'll have to listen upstairs later to be more precise.
The power conditioner of my studio is in for repair so I can't turn on anything at the moment... :|

great production but there is something wrong with the kick in my opinion there isnt that much weight in it
i see you allready fix the claps
arrangement wise the different elements need some more variation or you need to add another element

I like this, it's a fresh take on an oldschool style. Arrangement is good, and I like the distorted thump of the kick.

Theres only two things that i would change: the low pitched noise sample that I think is running throughout the track, gets pretty loud in the breaks, probably because it's sidechained to the kick? it takes up a lot of room.

The other thing is just a couple tweaks to the bleep leads (not the whirling one that comes in and out, but the big, ravey call and response one that runs through most of the track). The sounds are great, but i think they are a little further back in the mix than they could be, and it makes them sound .. almost 2d? like the sounds are being slightly squished by everything else.

Just minor tweaks though, all and all I really dig this, it's catchy and unique.

Good warehouse vibes, the mixdown is pretty tight and the arrangement is overall good. But I agree with hades, on a booming dream track like this I expect a bit more of a climax, something with energetic, crashing hi hats and the like. It's still quality, and if you were avoiding that kind of apex on purpose, all the power to you.

Thanks for listening Hades and Sinesnsnares. Glad to read your comments about the mix.

I see what you mean about the climax, but I didn't really want to make a full blown banger.
Instead, I was aiming for a somewhat atmospheric tune.
