Thanks a lot! I really appreciate getting some fresh ears on it! After you said it lacked energy and I heard it again, I actually thought that close to none of my transitions works (as in they sort of take the air/energy out of the track) and I think that's a place where there are lots of room for improvement!

And after you said that thing about the kick - I tried to put it into a spectrum analyzer, and you were right - there was a major dip in the mids of the tracks (a little overdrive+eq seemed to work wonders on that!) I really appreciate it!

I think that there are also places where the groove isn't completely there, so I might look into that too :)

once again thank you!

you're very welcome for the feedback mate. The track is coming together nicely now, it's just those transitions that need working on.
it sounds really well made and it has a nice vibe too.
Kudos buddy

Hey everyone!

Ended up throwing the last track I was working on in the bin. So I made a new one. I'm not really sure about the distribution of energy througout the track, and once again I feel very uncertain about the rhythmic parts. But this one came out of a groove that I quite liked - Any feedback is very appreciated! Love you guys!

although not really my cup of techno (the style is too trancey for my taste) I think this is a decent enough starting point for a good track.
for my two penneth worth it lacks energy and the kick sounds a little weak in the mids (I'm using shitty earplug phones so could be wrong)
good work though buddy...keep on keeping on.

I really like the groove of this track, that synth is awesome.
Your breakdown at 3:30 is could be brought up a little in the mix, maybe even consider minimalising your bass line so that the break can shine through?
Another thing i really enjoy is your sound design, some of the best stuff in a techno track on subsekt.
Great stuff :)

Thank you VERY much :D (I can't wait to get back to the track and try to improve it now!)

@Amøbe : I really like the vibe of that track, although I feel it could use more energy/power for the kicks, other than that I like the arrangement and the overall ambiance/atmosphere of the track

Also, here's what i'm working on at the moment, pretty happy with the way it's going as for now, this version tho , I just hit record and played it until I got bored  so not really an arrangement, do you feel it needs some type of bass, because to me it sounds like the low tom is kind of doing a good job, at the end of the track I was just playing with autofilter on the master and tried an lfo haha

although it's not really the sort of techno that I like it's a decent track. I really like the kick, and the simple (909?) percussion is good too. The mix sounds clear and every sound is well placed.
My only gripe would be that the synth line doesn't really 'up' the energy of the track.
Kudos to you though mate.

Thanks dude, just hearing that the mix sounds clear and sounds are well balanced is a big thing for me.
The intent of the synth (I consider it more a pad btw) is not to up the energy but rather bring some kind of atmosphere.

totally true.
though not sure if I'd leave my hidden tracks on my SC for 3 months.

I still need to listen to some of the new entries here, but the heat wave here has made my studio unbearable to be in,
and listening on headphones downstairs just isn't the same.
so I'm waiting for better times

Well done Merah!

It's a real chill track with a very nice sounding chord and string arrangement.
Sounds lush and dreamy, mix sounds well balanced here and I have nothing more to add but finish that shit! 8-)

Really? I think I still have my "first" techno track on there from 3 years ago.
(Edit; damnit... now I'm gonna have to listen to it and laugh...)

Please send some of that heatwave over here, weather in June has been awful!

I listened to all and I apologize if I haven't given much feedback there were just so many tracks my head was spinning...

haha, I was literally thinking : at least you fucking cunts in Iceland don't have the problem of your studio getting too warm in the summer.

Last week we had days of 33 to 35 degrees.
Yesterday it rained for the first time in more than 2 weeks,
and my mrs was complaining about the fucking rain.

Ugh, I don't have a problem with 25 degrees, but anything higher, no thank you.

I like the electro vibe, though, you're right, the outro is a bit sudden I think the big issue is that, as you have it right now, the bassline is a bit static for that kind of almost acid arpeggio. I would play with the bassline a bit more (with filter resonance, cutoff + reverb send). The sudden outro shows off how the bassline is more of the lead in this track anyways, even though you have those other sounds coming in in the middle. You might end up needing less sounds. Otherwise, good mix, i like the percussion, and the "happy" electro vibe.

thanks for your feedback
will re-edit the outro and will play a little more with the bassline
