Ableton Crashed can't open more than half of my projects now

Hey guys I've been working on a track last night and everything was running fine.
Then I opened u-he Diva (wich I purchased) to build a pad ,it got very high cpu peaks and after a few moments the project crashed.
After that I tryed to recover the projects in every possible way I could find in the net but nothing worked.
Today I tryed opening some older projects I need to export for a release (wich is very important for me) and I noticed I get the same error
as the other project, ableton crashes and I can't open them.
I've been writing to Ableton support center but I wanted to check if someone here can help me with this, would be really sad to lose a whole EP like this...

I uploaded the two different messages it shows when it crashes.

Try moving the Diva DLL to a temporary location and restarting. If it works after that contact u-he and tell them what happened, they provide exceptional support.

I remember having an issue with the convolution reverb crashing ableton years ago. I had to delete it and then I was able to open ableton again.

Yes ableton loads with an empty project and also with older projects...I tried removing Diva, which caused first crash but ableton still didn't start...Ableton support center was useless but I couldn't expect more from them^^


@Mattias: didn't sleep for like 30 hours trying to get all the same plugins on my laptop and open the files from there.It worked but I still need to fix the other machine because it's the one I need to use to make music.

So, sounds like one 3rd party plugin is to blame. Is Diva in all these projects? Maybe something corrupted in one of its data files. Try fully uninstalling it instead of moving the dll, see if the projects will open then, if they do, reinstall.

Maybe also try holding down alt while starting up live from one of the project files. It skips the plugin scan so may have an effect, but I doubt it.

Another random guess could be max4live if you're using it. Again, I'd move the Max device (if you know it) from its current location temporarily while you investigate.

Not using max and already tried starting ableton while pressing alt =)
I need to understand how to remove diva completely because I didn't find a uninstall file...

Im away from my machine for a couple of days so cant check my uhe stuff, but try add/remove programs in the control panel.

When I have troubles with ableton reinstalling it always seems to help.

Futher that that I cant help you mate, I'm terrible with computers.

=) I'll try today to delete everything from u-he from my life^^ and if it doesn't work I'll reinstall ableton, hope not to loose stuff.

Open a new project, in the sidebar navigate to the *.als file and expand it, and bring each channel into the new project one by one until you find the offending channel (there may be some trial and error) this way at least you can salvage as much as possible....

removed all the u-he stuff,uninstalled and reinstalled the newest version!

Yeah, I already bought it. I've been using the alpha's for a long time, so I see it as only fair I pay them for it. There are a few modules I can't reproduce in my other Synths easily, so there is value there. Anyway, it's u-he and 30% off, so I'd get my money back or more on kvr in 6 months.
