Hope this will be worth saving money for.
You have to systematically create confusion, it sets creativity free. Everything that is contradictory creates life.

It`s Roland, it`ll probably be an abortion. They`ve not made anything decent in years.
I bet it will run on hamster spit or something stupid.
It only works on wednesday afternoons.

I'm not that excited about this either, another over priced Roland machine.
There are a lot of very good 808 clones on the market for a good price.

With Roland being terrible at all machines they made for electronic music the last decades I have no hope.
Also why didn't they put a Japanese English speaker instead of a narrator over the JP voice? Boo.

I'm really hoping Native Instruments or Dubspot will do a remix of this video. Thats what I'm saving my manjuice for.

Also.. Its Aria.. not AIRA.

I predict that this drum machine will be a big success in nationalist areas of northern ireland, but sales will be disappointing elsewhere in the province.

FAIL ROLAND!! FUCKING FAIL haha

I predict digital analog hybrid (ie filters). it will suck most probably, but here's hoping.

I think they might actually be doing it! Watch the video and you see the bloke taking the front panel off the 808. After that it starts flashing through images of all the classic Roland gear including a 303 with the front panel off. So maybe they're working on a 909 and 303 too?? There's a picture of the Aira on this site too:

http://www.synthtopia.com/content/2014/ ... ic-tr-808/

Assuming it's a genuine photo, there seems to be a lot of hands on controls and the TR style step sequencer. Whilst my sensible side agrees that it's likely to be a hugely expensive let down, I'm really really hoping they've taken a note out of Korg's book and done it well and for a reasonable price. Fingers crossed!
Thank you for the laughs, debate, new music found, production tips etc etc over the years. I wish Subsekt and everyone all the best for the future. Wiu.

What they didn`t show was that after the guy opened up the 808, he pissed all over the internals, laughed, and then the Roland team all did a group high 5.

So they're gonna give a sneak peak of 1 a day on the run up to NAMM? I am actually really curious now!

the fact they used the word evolution is a big turn off. i like maschine. I like eurorack. i like plugins and Reaktor. i like new things however they should probably replace the word *evolution* with *fucking-up* on all their marketing if their previous efforts are anything to go by.
