FM'ing a crash

Post by helloitsmeagain »

Hi all

I been taking the time to build samples packs for myself and next up is cymbals. I wanna create a crash. I wanna go beyond white noise and was looking to see if anyone can point me in the direction of a solid tut on FM crash creation.

much appreciated.

Thanks

i think i might have a go a bit later too. only good things would come from being able to synthesize awesome cymbals.

i want to be able to synth 808 style sizzling open and closed hats which might be along the same lines as well.

found these two

http://www.fm8tutorials.com/tutorials/d ... hat-sound/ it's for hats but the concept of using fm is delved into.

http://www.cim.mcgill.ca/~clark/nordmod ... ssion.html This relates to the nord but it gave me directional tips.
