Why no decent output jacks? Surely adding decent 1/4" jacks wouldn't of made that much of a difference to the price if they'd of ditched the (more than likely) shitty built in speakers. I'm only basing this on the fact that the 'Monotron Duo' headphone output is noisy as hell.
Thank you for the laughs, debate, new music found, production tips etc etc over the years. I wish Subsekt and everyone all the best for the future. Wiu.

Yeah a little disappointed with the shitty audio connection. A proper 1/4" would've been mint.

It does really surprise me that they would go to all that effort but then leave out the tiny little matter of a decent audio output. On the tiny (toy like) Monotron range you could understand it because they were so cheap.

nice if you want to start cheap, but still 450 for the complete setup. Makes you think if you could not spent the 450 better. Altough I think Korg hit this right right for many. Korg seems back on tour with analog, MS20 mini and now the volca range.

When comes Roland back????

Korg are certainly coming up with some cool things at the moment. You'll probably be able to hack these synths as well ;)

Most likely I think they left the Monotribe/tron ranges open to hacking on purpose.

Well it's getting more and more standardized to leave out parts like 1/4" jacks and replace it with cheaper stuff to save costs to meet the "everything must be cheap" demand everyone have today. But it is still weird why they back the costs on THAT.

Despite the comments on here I'd still be quite interested to read the reviews. For some one of my budgets (not much). It would be nice to get something hardware which allows me to work OTB. Got a monotribe at home which is ok, but it is fairly limited.

I hear that the drum one has the Ben Klock Sub Zero shaker PCM built in :D

I think the 3 Osc box may do some good Nina Kraviz bubblebath sounds too

Sorted. Got mine on pre order, and a consultation for gender re-assignment in Bangkok, next Thursday.

About the size of jack connection...maybe it's not only a question of money (I think differences wouldn't be noticeable), maybe is just for saving some space and doing smaller gear which could be more portable and things like that...

Mini jack should be fine.
And if it is noisy, all the better.

I don't mind the minijacks. I listen to music on my laptop and headphones using a minijack all the time, I can't tell the difference between it and a quarter inch jack of my DJ mixer.

The only gripe with them is that they get pulled out easily, which could be disastrous in a live setting.

These curiosities look like they could be quite fun. And because they're so cheap maybe they'll have nice idiosyncrasies that'll give them a distinct flavor.

I've decided I'll defo take a punt on either the Bass or the Keys. At that price not much to lose.
If I really like then I'll buy another. Don't think I'd get the drum machine though.

The only thing I wanted from the Monotribe was midi input, and I can't be bothered to open mine up to install the module with hacks it, I'd probs break it anyway.
