Here's my mess..
Just picked up the Mono Evolver yesterday.. Nothing is really set up or that. Haha - I have to sort it all out whenever I get the chance.

damn, i dare not show my "setup" if thats what you can call it, you people have tons of gear... kinda looking silly with my oversized Yamaha cs1x...
Re: Dark Lab / Studio Thread
I was looking at those Casio's [Edit: Too early - Yamaha, I mean Yamaha ] Klaas? They sell for a fair price, but don't know anything about them. Whats it like?
@Arc - Mine was cleared before Xmas.. I'm dreading looking at it now. Maybe in a couple of days haha
@Hades - User info? Well, the story behind this one in particular, was that I bought it for €100. The Reverb didn't work & it needed a service - working fine after that. My Dad fixes synths & stuff for a living, so he was able to do it for me. It was only a wire loose for the Reverb. The Guy selling it was probably worried that it would cost a fortune to fix. It turned out that it belonged to a business partner of my Dad's many many years ago.. which was a nice coincidence haha.
Everything sounds lovely. I've only really played guitar through it tbh.. The way the delay changes constantly is beautiful. Its lovely when you skuff a few harmonics changing chords / notes.. and hear them ringing. It would be great to jam out to & get lost in the sound. So simple & lovely.
I recorded some synths going through it a few times & it sounded great.. especially turning the dials on the fly. Only problem was that when I listened back to it, the recording didn't have what I could hear: The sound of the Tape Motor. The sound of the motor speeding up & down, with the tape flying around is one of the nicest sounds I've every heard. Once I actually recorded the sound of the motor & added it into ableton haha.
Even just running a kick / one shot through it - Dry, no delay or reverb - seemed to add a nice mild saturation.
But I'll be honest - I've used it fuck all. I think there is a loose connection on one of the outs & have been meaning to get it fixed for a while.

Re: Dark Lab / Studio Thread
Macbook, Xone 2D, Maschine Mikro and some DT100s. Had an old Akai Sampler, Alesis DM4, Alesis Microverb (I think), mics and a load of guitar effects pedals back at home in England, but can't bring it all out to Berlin just yet.
Hoping to upgrade to some DT880s and A7's at some point this year. Thinking about some analogue gear but unsure yet.

that's ok, you buy it for 300, and I'll buy it from you for 375 a bit later, I'm ok with that.Mslwte wrote:Hey there is already a queue Tom . ha ha!Hades wrote:thx for the info, and like I said : if you ever wanna sell it, just let me know !
