What vocal processing is going on here?

Post by bram2000 »

Hi All,

Been enjoying this fairly recent track by Blawan and really want to know how he's processed the vocal; especially when it turns really evil (like the "Under my Garage" bit in the quiet section at 1:57-2:00).

The vocal was sampled from the Fugees track "How Many Mics" (last verse):

It's been sampled really well. Any ideas on processing to get that croaky evil sound?

Should be many ways to achieve this. Tossing out a random guess on:
Any Vocoder using a noize OSC as a carrier + any multi-pitchshifter / harmonzier (like Waves Ultrapitch Shift for example).
