I really like it. Oh and how's life without Bootsie stuff? Must be tough

dont ask mattias... dont ask... haha :D was a hard step away from beloved booteq and density. but after a bit of research i found some nice tools for mac too. and to be honest its also good to be limited again. i only install what i need and it's really less so far. cleansweep/ soneq/ elysea/ tilt eq and ableton eq8 to eq sounds... devastor/ redoptor/ sonEQ (again) for distortion... toraverb & ableton verb for room. and since i abuse devastor as my dynamic tool most of the time i only use ableton compressor as a common compressor. somehow the switch the mac made me realize how less tools are really important. it's nice not to have a list of 100 plugins anymore :)

Yes, the SonEQ is Pultec-ish.
Satson Channel sounds great too. I got sick of console emulation, but I still use it a lot to gain stage.
If you have a mix 90% there, but one sound is too soft or too loud, it's easier to whack Satson Channel on it than rewrite the automation.
(Always been Mac, never been able to Bootsy).

nebula! a few of the eqs in nebula3free work really well for bass but i also like using it in parallel (stock bandpass or the free cab amps filtered, you might have to flip the phase) to get some extra warmth/lowend content.

I agree both Waves RBass and MaxxBass work well with low end. Not an EQ though.

I would be careful with MaxxBass, it's mainly a tool to enhance bass harmonics or basic consumer multimedia devices. Not saying its something to look away from in music making but be careful!
