I just bought....

Post by Wiu »

...Izotope Iris.

I downloaded the demo and within 15 minutes I was back on the site buying it. So much fun to use and I'm barely scratching the surface so far. I'm finding it kind similar to Sonic Charge's Synplant in that it's just a totally different way of making/fucking with sounds. Worth checking out if you're after something a little different.

Thank you for the laughs, debate, new music found, production tips etc etc over the years. I wish Subsekt and everyone all the best for the future. Wiu.

Iris is phenomenal indeed! I've been using it a lot this year, everything from toying with the sound libraries it came with to importing raw waveforms from my oscillators. It's so much fun to sit there and carve out different sounds.

I'm tired aswell of the 1098764. virtual recreation of Mini Moog or similars.I wnt fresh ideas/functions that can make you really creative. That's why i love synths like Iris or the Aalto....

Wait what this is awesome :o
I need this in life.

Bit expensive though, so I stole a copy.
Think I should be able to get a license through school.

I've heard a few demos of Aalto - does look/ sound excellent.
Recently bought Alchemy - the Additive/ Spectral/ Granular capabilities are awesome...

This Iris thing is great.

If you know your tuning/pitch, you can basically make all your pads/texture in one go.

i tried iris when it came out

my memory is a little hazy of it... but i was disappointed you couldn't do any spectral modulation or morphing.

alchemy sounds a bit more in depth than this one, might look into it one day.
