Arturia's Minibrute

Post by Angelo B »

Hey,
Was looking around for some synths (tempted to buy one :D) and found the Minibrute from Arturia really cool :

http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/pro ... intro.html

Has anyone tested it or have any advice on this synth? was aiming the more kind of percussive synths, i mean more to make one hit stabs and stuff not really pads.

Thanks in advance

Angelo

I've had my eyes on one of these for a while or something similar for a while. The Moog Minitaur looks cool too.

Good Solidstate review of the Minibrute here:-

And the Minitaur here:-

Thank you for the laughs, debate, new music found, production tips etc etc over the years. I wish Subsekt and everyone all the best for the future. Wiu.

like many others I'm very interested in this (an affordable, brand new and completely analog monosynth) but honestly none of the sound demos I've heard online have impressed me that much yet. maybe that'll change soon tho as more people get their hands on them and start putting shit up.

Just got a mail of thomann saying my mini brute has shipped, ordered it back in February I think, was due for release in march or April originally, if I remembered I had it ordered I would have cancelled it as haven't really got the money right now, thinking I'll sell it on but I'll have a mess around with it when it arrives, having a good play around on it will prob change my mind and keep it

I want one really bad. It looks like quite an awesome synth. A modern 101 somehow.

Just need to find the funds for it, as i'm having to shell out quite a bit to have my mks70 and my SDE3000 fixed.
out on DEMENT3DXXX.

Changed my mind since i saw the new Elektron Analog Four. Will be getting that instead. Seems like it's 4 times the miniBrute with a sequencer...

It's twice as expensive though.
Not that it won't be worth the money, Elektron gear usually is from what I've heard.

There is so many good options, but the question is if you need a keyboard or not.
You have to think if you want only 1xOSC synths, or maybe for the price or some more you can get a 2xOSC synth...

Mini brute is a nice looking synth but the envelopes don't look all that great for making percussive sounds, I prefer AD envelopes for that.
