Dug this old chord chart out over the last few days & decided to make some patches in the Ableton 11 chord midi device.

Unsurprisingly, they sound pretty nice.

Edit: Pack now works with L10 & L11. I've included a .txt file & some .jpgs of the chord chart & an example of tritones.

This is great! I took the patch for madd9 and put the c minor scale function on afterwards, then just messed around trying different root notes. It resulted in some interesting (and pleasing) harmonies that I wouldn't have come up with normally.
The chord patches alone can give you a nice detroit-y parallel harmony vibe, but I highly recommend playing with the scale tool inserted after any of these chords.

Even if you can play a keyboard, tools like this can be inspiring at the right moment. A little oblique strategy for writer's block.

Thanks man.. totally agree. Few of the scales give you access to those added, extra notes. I'm enjoying adding a sixth note to the root atm. That sixth note isn't in the minor scale straight off the shelf. One of the problems with using rigid scales I guess.

The chords are cool with a mono synth & an arp too.

Really glad I located this old chart & spent a few minutes doing the patches as I think they're more useful than the stock ableton ones.
