Good not too expensive sound card
Good not too expensive sound card
I'm using a Behringer U-Control job, grand for home working, not so sure about club stuff and if it is good enough. Any ideas on a not too expensive sound card? Don't want to spend a fortune if possible. What about the NI Audio 2, that any use? I mainly use Ableton now, some Traktor stuff still going on.

I think the audio 2 would be a good choice. Must be a good price 2nd hand on eBay

How about the Echo Audiofire 2? Its pretty awesome sound-wise, solid as a rock drivers, fair price-point, and also will fit in your pocket!

I've recently started using an Akai EIE for live performances only, we have an SSL madiextreme system in the studio. The 16bit one is only £130 and so far rock solid, sounds great and very useful features. 4 in, 4 out, midi i/o and even an inbuilt USB hub! The hub part is so handy, I run my APC and other controllers via it with no issues at all. We run two live now, one runs off my laptop for the drums, Porc, subs etc. and the other is used on another laptop for all the guitar looping and processing, latency is low enough we can run the guitar through it to an amp with no noticeable delay. Best cheap interface I've ever had and surprisingly good audio quality. Also solid build quality, it's a nice chunky metal box.

Sonic Solutions AD-DA, 50 $ on ebay, 18 bit 44100/48000, optical s/pdif in/out, XLR in/out (stereo in/out).

Maybe check out the Audient interfaces. I think the ID14 is about £180 new and go for about £100ish used. You don't get many features but what you do get is quality - great converters, DI and two mic pres from their big consoles. I have the ID22 and am really happy with.

Check your OS & available drivers if you are buying 2nd hand.
Incompatibility can often be the main reason for something being sold on.
Do your homework thoroughly before you buy!!!
