No reason why too much in the mix would be a problem with this plugin if you use it right and EQ well.
Yeah I suppose but they "improved the audio model" to include a better high end frequency response after I tried it. I wonder if that would've changed my opinion.

I'm fixing up my old Tascam Porta 02 MK2 4 track atm.. I got some new belts & motor. Waiting on some parts to add a pitch control to it. It's dismantled at present.

I'll come back in here when its done & if anyone wants a line of kicks, hats, snares or a melodic stem or 2 etc.. fired through as is; I'll do it if anyone wants to see if it's for them or not. They're fucking expensive these days.

Will also upload some of the hiss. There's lots to share :D

AFAIK Terekke doesn't use plugins but a relatively simple hardware setup. Pretty sure this was recorded on actual cassette.

Probably used RC20 by xln audio
heh, but that thing has such a definite sonic stamp, I don`t think it is.
You can really design it the way you like, also add saturation/distortion/space/wobbliness/tape and vinyl noise, and when you start playing with the mix slider you can really blend it in nicely, all the hiphop heads use it.

Yeah I have it.
But the noise templates are quite obvious to that device.
As is the sound of the bitcrushing section.

It's a great plugin though. But already I've heard it on quite a few productions and it hasn't been disguised too well.

Unrelated to the clip, but since we’re also talking about emulating old samplers here, have you checked out Legowelt’s latest gift? The «SMACKOS Lemuria Vintage Sampler Simulator», made with stock Ableton devices.

Just got a TE Pocket Operator 33 - absolutely brilliant for lofi 8 bit percs and drum loops.

Dunno if I'd wanna have too much of it in a track - it'd probably sound a bit OTT but making really dry dirty hi hat & clap patterns etc during lunch breaks as Digitakt food will be awesome.

https://www.native-instruments.com/en/r ... how/6231/ this thing rocks my world now for crunch. You can get really wild or super subtle, also automation helps to keep it casually crunching away.
