I would vote for Prophet 6... as it's really awesome even if you only want to look and see it every single day, even if it is always unplugged! :)

First post here so a quick hello to everyone.
I would also consider the MFB Dominion 1.
One knob per function and a host of modulation possibilities make it ideal synth for learning sound design.
And the fact it sounds incredible.
It's the one synth I own that I'll never sell.
Good onboard arp and sequencer as well.
