Stockholm. And there is a shop in Stockholm that is selling them (as well as some really interesting designs of other speakers such as: https://audioconcept.se/product-categor ... price-desc ). I am still not sure that it's a good idea to go with towers for my use case.

Thought I would ask in here instead of starting a new thread;

I have a pair of Yamaha HS7 monitors and wanted to add a sub to the setup.

Currently the matching Yamaha HS8S sub is not in stock anywhere in Australia and is not likely to be for some time so I am looking for alternatives.

Any suggestions for a sub that will mesh well with the Yamaha HS7 speakers?

Thanks

I want to hear the whole spectrum for the mixdown.

My HS7s disappear around 38hz, after fading off from about 45hz

You want a sub that has a very fast response time.
What is your budget?

Is your room/environment good enough to take the added energy and frequency extension? If you are in a 2.5x2.5x2.5 square room, lots of low frequencies could give you even more of a problem..

Good point. My room is 2.7m x 2.9m x 3.0m

I am going to delve into the murky world of room treatment, which will most likely have me hitting up other threads, but yeah this is what I am working with that the moment.

Appreciate all the expertise here lads!

LOL, OK, well I will just stick with Sonarworks Reference 4 combined with not really giving that much of a shit.

That website is bloody amazing. The quality level of resources available for measuring this kind of thing nowadays is phenomenal.

Any recommendations for nearfields around £2 - 3k for a really small space? Result6 looks like a good option but can't get over how ugly they are. Geithain RL906s also look like a good option, nice and small.

Using ety er4xrs for monitoring low end.

Dynaudio core7 (maybe too big?) Unity Audio rocks?

Room is 1.8 x 3 to give you an idea of how small I’m talking, and this is my space for foreseeable future but we’re looking at bigger places soon.

Using RM-07s w/ sonarworks at the moment to mix at low vol but have some money to upgrade and feel like the 6.5inch woofers overpower the space a bit, so considering things around 5 inches.

8331s, RL906s, twotwo5s, A14-Ms, one15s.

I assume any of these will work?
