Re: Techno History, when did the ITCHY Whoretits? backlash begin?
When I was a kid. RH was the definition of nose-bleed techno. He didn't give a shit about how he looked. He had a buzz cut. He played hard and fast. A real opposite to the flashy dress-code snobs like Rampling, etc... Then when minimal became big and he hit Ibiza, he just slowly but surely changed....

I ended up getting Softube Tape...just too cheap to pass up. Haven't tried it yet, though.

I love Microshift - it's all over my new album, as are Echo Boy, Crystalizer and Decapitator.jordanneke wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 3:44 pm
I just picked up the microshift (after a good while of deliberation) and also the filter-freak.

The G - Concrete Island (TSR070)
New album is out! It's an imagined soundtrack to a 1983 post-apocalyptic film set in 2016, a road trip across an abandoned landscape. It also has a lot more techno in it than my previous synthwave releases, so I'm definitely curious to hear what you guys think! https://timeslaves.bandcamp.com/album/...

Wanted to pick up Soundtoys Echoboy on a 60% discount, ended up buying the whole Soundtoys 5 bundle with even bigger discount as I also had a couple of their other small plugins already... So hopefully the plugin purchase urge is restrained for a while! Should be some good ones in there t...

Glad Hood is doing something that makes him feel content. Not interested in participating.

Re: Animators
Shit that's a fantastic idea. I am clueless when it comes to video editing, though.Plyphon wrote: ↑Wed Aug 15, 2018 9:01 amIf you're not fussed on actually having animation, you can just use stock royalty free footage and put a black and white filter over it, ie:

Re: Animators
Cheers everyone. Maybe that's what I really need--a film editor.
Know anyone good and relatively inexpensive, Lost? I don't mind paying a bit but can't pay a lot.
(Note: I know people doing this kind of thing in the synthwave scene but that aesthetic is wrong for this music.)

Animators
I've got a new album coming out of techno-influenced retro soundtrack music, and I'd like to find an animator to make a video for one song. Something monochromatic and artsy--not typical synthwave stuff. Any of you know anyone?

Re: Behringer Neutron Experiences?
Looks nice, though it doesn't really fit a need for me. But I am very curious about it. Definitely like what Behringer is doing lately.

I love the F&F series for what it is: absurd, over the top spectacle with fast cars. They are incredibly stupid but totally aware of how stupid they are.
I also like the Riddick movies and games...they are what they are and they are good at being exactly that and not more.

Yes. Same with Vin Diesel. You know it's going to be dumb but so do they so everyone's on the same page.Lost to the Void wrote: ↑Fri Jun 22, 2018 11:26 pmBasically anything with the Rock in it.
It's trash but always fun and knows it's trash.
San Andreas is a work of genius.

The Warriors, was amazing when you were a kid. Gangs, fighting, The Baseball Furies, Riffs yeah! Watched it as an adult with a then girlfriend who never knew the film and she just pissed herself all the way through, "this is like Fame but with bad fighting" I love The Warriors. Campy as hell but it...
