Re: This virus!

With the colder and darker days, it's starting to get to me mentally.
Luckily, no one I know has caught the virus and I'm still healthy as well.

It just feels like every day is the same and there's nothing really to anticipate or be excited about.

Only at Subsekt does a thread about Derrick May accusations turn into a discussion about the concept of free will.
Great stuff!

Re: New good techno

YYYY. I've been a fan of their output for a while. Here's their latest release. It always sounds fresh and original to me. https://yyyy1.bandcamp.com/releases Zenker Brothers. The latest release on their own imprint is very diverse, but will definitely please techno lovers as well. https://iliantape...

Boards of Canada: In The Studio

Really nice to have an inside look into their way of working. I found this to be super insightful.

Pick the day that suits you best.
We can always watch the streams at a later date, so it really doesn't matter that much if you ask me.

Rivethead or whatever he is calling himself currently, is great.
His Kalliopera and Aarniometsa sets from the old Nursery days are some of my favourite mixes ever.
I go back to those time and time again.

Who is this Jerome you mentioned? It doesn't ring a bell.

For me, it's got to be DJ Pete.
HIs wax treatments podcasts are pure class.

Re: State of "techno"

There have always been trends like this that don't please the techno purists. Like someone already mentioned, it's gateway music for the masses.
Just steer clear from it and dive a little deeper into the genre to find true gems. There's still good techno to be found.

Re: Some techno for a change

I agree with Barfunkel. Toning some things down would benefit the arrangement, since it is quite an ecclectic track.
It does sound coherent, though.

The track definitely has your own sound signature, which I like a lot. It stands out from the rest.

It's not like I would listen to his music while I'm commuting to work, but he's done some funny stuff.

Really inspiring.

Good call on FMA Brotherhood, Steve. It's a classic for sure.

Favourite stories

Since I've been blown away by the story of the German TV show "Dark", I've been thinking about how captivating a great story can be. In the case of Dark, I was almost heartbroken when it ended because the world and the characters all felt so real. What are some of your favourite stories that have co...

Good call on Andy Stott.

Most of Fishermen's output is quite slow.

Positive Centre explores slower BPM's as well. Might be slightly faster than what you are aiming for, though.
