Re: SHIDZO - Back to the land
I'm actually a bit shocked about what's going on here. I thought I've come to a place where there actually are some proper cunts around. But blaming me for not finding my own style and ripping off stuff? What's that got to do with constructive criticism? Here is what happened: Mr. Crom postet that R...

Re: SHIDZO - Back to the land
Production is ok. A little cramped in the low mids/high bass. Hats and top end are a little thin. But it holds together pretty well in the mastering room here. So yeah, good work. Musically though, overall it`s one big cliche of a track, nothing makes me say "Oh this guy Shidzo is doing something i...

Re: SHIDZO - Back to the land
It's a well produced track, but the problem is a musical one for me. The stabs have no resolve. The tension isn't released until 5 mins when you finally get some pay off to the piano. That's a long time considering the track's only 6 mins. I agree that the major problem is one of arrangement. But w...

Favourite Moments...
Marcel Dettmann @ Berghain

Gerd Janson & Âme @ Panorama Bar

Not really digging releases, mostly listening to sets and most of the time I have no clue who made the track when I like one in a set.

Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it!! What do you mean by original synth noises though? cheersPale-Fox wrote:it's got the elements of a great track could just be arranged a bit better in my opinion and have some more original synth noises possibly?

Re: Ju-Ju (free jazz sampling house track)
Really nice groove, man, reaaaaally nice! Not a big fan of saxophones in general, but I think you have that one figured out. Find it a great idea and got some personal touch to it. Like Mr. voodoo said, it sounds a bit too panned in the beginning, even though you compensate it the further the track ...

Re: SHIDZO - Back to the land
The rave chord pattern gets a bit annoying after a while, to me at least... Also the quiet little riff (synth sax?) after the chord kinda doesn't bring anything to the track imo. No technical comments with these borrowed headphones. Gotta buy a new pair in the near future, as my primary headphones ...

SHIDZO - Back to the land
Would appreciate feedback on this one.
I was thinking of something that would work on the dance floor. Something catchy. So much for the theory then.

Thanks for taking the time.

Re: Concrete Island - Azad
Holy cow, I’m either unprofessional or my ears are super tired from the weekend sessions. Or both. I listened on my headphones and I had to focus really hard to even hear the reverb on the kick. I like the low end and the kick pattern, you could do a bit more with it when you lead into the break, fo...

Re: SHIDZO - Tacker
Lots of confusion here for the OP. No surprise it`s over low end where the majority of small/project studios have trouble. So I took a listen in the mastering room to try to clear things up. My opinion, low end is too much, very thick and muddy underneath the initial transient of the kick, would so...

Re: Techno and "substances"
This. Normal life is hard enough as it is. Maybe this makes me boring, but I've never gotten much out of re-dosing or stacking different kinds of pleasure substances besides wanting to throw myself off the nearest bridge . One really doesn't need extra substances to feel like throwing himself...
