Re: ASK US ANYTHING [NO SUBJECT IS STUPID / ALL QUESTIONS WELCOMED]

- resampling - Okay, let's say I've got a kickdrum sample on a track and add some saturation (u-he satin). Would it be the same if I'd (1) add another saturation stage (antoher satin, decapitator or whatever) as if I'd (2) record my kick with that first saturation stage and then add that new sample ...

Re: Sean Ocean - pt 51 MEV

yep, I'd second what's been set. I like the vibe and I cloud imagine a festival crowd having a lot of open air fun with this. Some drive is missing, when having such repetetive groovy stuff it need to kick my ass, I think. Dunno, but I have to think of Jennifer Cardini sets, where she mostly plays s...

Re: Lan5 - Feedback

I really like the approach as me is a fan of bleeps and stuff in techno, hehe. I think your kick gets a bit covered of that reverb rumble thingy you've got there. I would check for possible masking frequencies and make room for your kick. When the tracks starts rolling, I think that kick is not enou...

Re: Why do my own kicks cause my room to echo?

All I can hear is some standard kick samples. Isn't it rather a problem of your room than of your kicks? If you play certain frequencies with some punch on your monitors your room will ring? So therefore shouldn't your focus be on your room and not the kicks details? I'm nowhere a professional, but ...

Re: Should I get rid of my vintage gear?

just check what you need for your ideas, what suits your workflow or inspires you. get rid of the rest.. i found out that it helps me a lot to reduce gear dramatically and just concentrate on two, max three synths/ drummies, but learn them throughout. i've got some gear remaining on the self, my pla...

Perspective EP

I made a track two years ago, that represented a very 'calming' idea I have of music sometimes. That's when it drives you, brings you energy and still calms you down, brings inner peace. This year I did a track having that first one in mind. Carrying that calmness from that first track, leading to s...

Re: Rise of Youtube tutorials and masterclasses..

If we'd know how to produce a snowflake, falling snow wouldn't be that magical (in a not esoteric way) as it is. That's because snow isn't predictable and you can't reproduce snow, therefore it's somewhat astonishing, inspiring.. magical for many people. In todays society everything get's more and m...

So many new dogs about since all this c19 began. ...guilty! I've got a dog since december, haha. But I'm working hard to train with him and keep things consistent. He's only shitting on natural ground and I pick it up then. The first 8 weeks have been like bloody hell. A puppy is supposed to sleep ...

I've got my Djmixer running into a bose soundlink mini, no joke :D ..after having it running through my mixing monitors that were too far away I wanted to have a more direct sound when DJing and preparing sets. So I'm using a little wall-mount and now I've got my DJ monitor right in front of my head...

Thats the thing.. believe there was a non USB & a USB option and that there might be a difference. Looking at forum posts elsewhere, reviews & vids.. I'm getting hints of being able to plug it via audio just like usamo ( generating clock only) AND seperately / simultaneously send USB midi into the ...

Re: E-RM Multiclock

I'm using mine exactly like that. Sending via audio out the Signal from the erm clock plugin in ableton live into the Multiclock, so the MC can generate a stable clock that is available on all four ports. Also the MC works as a fully equipped MIDIinterface with 4 outputs. Also it's super flexible in...

There's a new show. At least we can play radio shows during the lockdown. Hiding from everyone, keeping distance and focus on music we like :)
