Re: Arturia Keystep / 37 / Pro. Who has one?

OK.. Arturia appear to have been busy AF on a 2.0 update for the KSP & initial reports re: bugfixes / requested features etc.. seem to be what was required to make the thing function properly. Anyone here get to dl the 2.0 yet & can give an opinion on the before vs. the after? I got it, for me ever...

Re: Sienna by Acustica Audio

I'm not making an argument for Sonarworks, merely that the room correction (I don't use headphone correction) is based on sound theory. Whereas the idea of turning headphones into different rooms is both pointless and will never represent accurately anyway. I'll give the demo a go but it's not gett...

Re: Sienna by Acustica Audio

In the end, I'm not telling anyone to buy it, just to try it. But if you think it's gonna be useless anyway that's fine too.

Re: Sienna by Acustica Audio

I consider these products gimmicks and nothing more. Adjusting headphones to sounds like a particular room is a ridiculous phallacy that no one needs, isn`t useful, but somehow some vst companies are trying to convince people it`s a useful thing. Headphones are an inherently different listening exp...

Sienna by Acustica Audio

https://www.sienna.studio This is the new headphone "VSX" by Acustica Audio. A headphone mixing plugin that simulates rooms that they actually sampled from some high-end and 'esoteric' music studio rooms, as the company owner related in their FB group. I think this is gonna be a really cool product,...

Re: E-RM Multiclock

you're welcome! I hope it works properly now, if not just let me know. I wish there were more content on how to set it up in the first place. such a useful device but you need to go through hell before it works properly, it's like that for everyone I know that own one of these. it's crazy why the ex...

Re: E-RM Multiclock

Change your Channel and Channelise options to "Omni" inside the usamo plugin. You need to select the MIDI channels via Ableton only. If you select a channel inside the plugin there's no way you'd be able to send message to multiple channels within Ableton.

Re: E-RM Multiclock

yes, I would only use two instances of the plugin if I had two usamo units in two different audio tracks. in regards to the midi track: First you place an usamo instance into a MIDI Track. You can then create different midi tracks and route then to the MIDI Track that has usamo plugin loaded as an i...

Re: E-RM Multiclock

Have you tried turning on Send SSP 0 on? It is a function that sends the transport to the 0 start point every time you press space / play in Ableton. But that's more important if you're syncing external sequencers. Normally I just create a new MIDI channel in ableton, set Midi To: USAMO and the choo...

Re: sonarworks 5.

not yet. i'll try this tomorrow though and will get back here to say if it worked or not. anyway, I tried to uninstall the new SoundId and still it didn't make the Reference 4 work. So probably the only way is uninstalling everything and reinstall Reference 4.

Re: E-RM Multiclock

I'm sure the E-RM is the best solution, but for 520 euros, I don't know... it's just too much. I think going through the ACME route then it's 1000 euros. I'm getting the same results with a $120 device and a midi through box. I'd rather buy another usamo and a midi merger so I can clock and send no...

Re: sonarworks 5.

Its not just a GUI, the bootstrapper has been overhauled, which is essential for me. Just got an email from Ginz. Codes are taking a while as they are super busy with launch. However he told me to wait until may to upgrade personally, as they will be offering upgrade discounts then. Steve, do you m...

Re: E-RM Multiclock

The thing about using the USAMO for simultaneous purposes is that sending more information at the same time can led to jitter in the clock signal - at least this is what the E. Sleepers dude says. I'm only using it as a clock source for multiple sequencers connected to a midi thru box. But I used it...

Re: sonarworks 5.

Same here.. sonarworks 4 does it's job, won't spend 90€ for another GUI. And yes, haha, what happened to that website? xD Its not just a GUI, the bootstrapper has been overhauled, which is essential for me. Just got an email from Ginz. Codes are taking a while as they are super busy with launch. Ho...

Re: E-RM Multiclock

I have USAMO here too with a 5 port thru box, works perfectly. I love that I hadn't had to invest such money on a clock (like i would with acme or e-rm) to get the same results: no jitter.

Re: Opinions on a tight song arrangement or jam style

Do you think releasing tracks that are jams and don't follow strictly a metric of loops is a no-no? I often find stuff that doesn't follow a strict metric can be more interesting. me too , but I was told by a label owner once that the mixdown has to be perfect in metric. lol I jam everything out an...

Opinions on a tight song arrangement or jam style

So, I usually arrange all my songs within a metric, repeating 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 bars. But I usually enjoy much more the process of jamming than I do enjoy arranging manually. What are your opinions on this? Do you think releasing tracks that are jams and don't follow strictly a metric of loops is a n...

Re: Arturia Keystep / 37 / Pro. Who has one?

Thats interesting about the pro. Not the first person I've seen saying some of those exact same things man. Thanks for that. Hard to believe tbh 37 looks like a decent buy.. Still like the multi channel setup of the pro. Might hold off a bit longer & see how the updates go. All the feedback seems t...
