Tune! Inspired me to make something in the lower tempo's ...

I find it hard to critique others music but i kind of get what Jordanekke is saying about the kick. Over all I'm feeling the track, though perhaps the main mono section of drums feels a little disjointed from the rest of the mix.

Liking that 5.5 version a lot!

Ultimately i don't think it can do any harm trying it. If your not happy with your mixes try a different approach, instead of sitting down and making a tune why not make a mix... Just paint a soundscape using the different frequency ranges and depths of sound..Transients etc

Not into this really, harsh sounding.

Thanks for the comments guys, chances are i will re visit this track at some point, hopefully with some fresh perspective for extending it and perhaps changing the low end.

That Rave track is lovely. You can get a click close to that with some reverb and compression + saturation i think. One completely wet reverbed kick, heavily compressed then saturated. Get a nice kick with nice tight thud attack and layer over wet kick.

Will have a look at this, but s'posed to be cpu heavy..

I start tracks with the standard Ableton template, usually end up setting up my own reverb send, replacing the delay send with a parallel comp.
I have quite a few effect racks saved but they rarely work from project to project so i end up spending a lot of time making effect chains.
