Re: Raw house samples

Is raw a naughty word? I do apologise!!!

Yes I'm aware that creating your own sounds is the most beneficial option in the long run, however as a busy man at the moment I wish to have some excellent quality sounds to quickly get some ideas down.

Raw house samples

What are the best quality underground sample packs out there?

I'm a synth noob and can't program my own shit therefore I'm after some quality sounding raw underground flavours to jam with.

Any niche underground sound designers out there making quality packs?

Analog Rytm with Ableton Push 2

Anyone using their push with Analog Rytm and got any information on how good the workflow is with those two together? Or just how well push works alongside hardware drum machines in general? I've been a push/ableton user for a while now but I am currently looking to expand my gear with some bits of ...

Re: Korg Volca FM is out!

There is already a M4L editor for the volca FM. http://www.dystopiandisco.com/ What's the point? Editing in a computer to run your hardware defeats the whole point of having hardware ie hands on. You might as well use software FM Nah. I say cheers to the chap who made this M4L editor. I very much l...

Re: How can I achieve this type of distortion with a softwar

I would also love to find out how Fabio Monesi gets that raw sound on his beats. Shattered Glass Audio's Sga1566 is a great free plug in which can really beef things up if you haven't used that one before. I also use Decimort 2 and a bit of tape saturation such as Kramer or Smackos. Struggling to ge...

Deep yet subtle bass tips

Has anyone got any tips on how the bass in this track is constructed?

Every time I try and make something similar it sounds like sonic ear rape.

Bass kicks in around the 40 second mark

Cheers :)

'Head High' inspired kicks

I was wondering if anybody could shed (pun was not intended) some light on how these sort of kicks are processed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDua_lxMLEE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dhVXLUpY4s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6qefV4ckbk I assume a lot of analogue gear is involved along with ...

Re: Korg Volca FM is out!

I'm a hardware noob so not sure if this a simple question but what is the point of buying two of these and using them together? From the video just released you can see the dude jamming on two volca fm's. Can anyone go into a bit of detail on this? Cheers Link to video below https://www.youtube.com...

Re: Is anyone using Ableton/Push with a hardware heavy studi

I found this video useful

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92Q9U7DP0rc Techno producer Dauwd going through how he uses his Push in a hardware environment.

I mainly make music using my Push and VST synths at the moment however I plan on expanding with a few pieces of hardware in the near future

Re: SMACKOS AMIGA 909 drum machine

No worries

Has anyone tried putting their own samples in the rack and seen how well that works?

I'm not an ableton expert so not sure if it has to be used with the samples provided.
