Re: New Korg Volca FM @ Namm 2016

I very much hope this is real, I'd fork over the money for it right now if I could. I've got a TX81z that I love love love, but its a pain in the ass to hook it up to the computer to program it and using the interface is just a flat out no, so I'd LOVE a hands on FM synth. If I was gonna be picky, I...

Re: Is it worth it to go cheap on studio monitors?

This is a question I've been toying with myself as I need new speakers for the home 'studio'. My problem is, aside from the money, I've not actually got much space for a nice set, and can't really turn them up much anyway at the time when I frequently make music - terraced house, on the other side o...

Re: Waldorf Eurorack / Synth

Drooling all over the place here, the keyboard/case looks bang on, and a wavetable module, well thats gonna kick some ass no doubt. Waldorf make cool stuff. But to buy all that in one go? HAhaha, unfortunately I like having a roof over my head, so nevermind. Maybe one day. I should probably practice...

Re: Korg Minilogue

You have to consider that the dollar prices are all excluding tax Ah, yes of course, I do forget this sometimes, like now. Still, I think US sales tax averages around 10%, so it would be nice to see the Minilogue costing around £400 or the Euro equivalent. We shall see. Tbh, even if it's £500 it'd ...

Re: Jeff Mills The Bells - full orchestra performance

I was lucky enough to catch him playing with the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican back in October. It was AMAZING. Obviously not to everyone's taste, fair enough. But to me, it was totally special. Still using the arrangements from Blue Potential but with some new stuff as well. The orchestra ...

Re: Korg Minilogue

Didn't HTFR get done for making bootlegs? I'm sure I remember reading it somewhere years ago. They were the first record shop I used to buy from online many many years ago. I still get emails from them today trying to flog me their hugely expensive second hand records. Yup, I remember this, they ha...

Re: Loz Youngs - Gratitude

I enjoyed that. Seems to me that there is probably the guts of like 2 or 3 decent tunes in there, but its kinda cool how its a bit wild and unpredictable.

Re: Some 90's styled beats

I've drifted away from this sort of sound over the years, but really enjoyed listening to this, there's some good memories in this stuff and maybe I kind of miss it. Anyway, you've definitely nailed it, sounds better than a lot of the stuff I was listening to at the time - cool track!

Re: 0 replies for Trickfinger. Maybe I ask how he make his k

I quite enjoyed the Trickfinger album, and I really like Frusciante's solo electronic stuff, it's kinda derivative in parts, but I reckon he manages to put his own mark on it in others, so it makes for an interesting take on electronic music to me. And as for RHCP, all their best stuff was with him ...
