Re: Mode Machines SEQ12
The lack of a decent display on this expensive sequencer could be an issue.
All those functions and then that small display... Could be just me ofcourse .

Re: Iris 2 Giveaway
Thx for posting this.
I've checked some video about Iris2 and it looked like something I didn't have in my toolbox.
Downloaded and installed; sound very good.

Re: DIY Acoustic Treatment
What microphone did you use for REW? I've bought this one: https://www.daytonaudio.com/product/911/emm-6-electret-measurement-microphone I don't remember where I bought it from, but I remember there was an option to pay a bit extra for a calibration file (for my specific microphone). You can use th...

Re: DIY Acoustic Treatment
I’ve used Rockwool221 for my room treatment. It has a density of 55kg/m3. It’s rockwool and doesn’t contain glass that gives you the itchy feeling. Before you start, you have to find the best spot first. So start measuring in a untreated room and do lot’s of measurements. I did mine in steps of 10 c...

Couldn’t edit anymore but a great and cheap multi fx (pedal) is the Zoom MS-70-CDR.

Re: Hardware reverb for drums
Had a SE50 but it recently died. Great unit that I want back.
If I spot a SE70 in the hood I wil pick it up.
Like Steve mentioned there are no new multi fx units. I think most people just use vst fx now.
The DP4 is still on my list!

Re: Elektron Digitakt 1.2 and Digitone 1.3 Updates
Still need to install these updates.
The last time I've had some shit with updating the Digitone and needed the old C6 program .
Afterward I did read about the solution; you need the latest Elektron Transfer software. This software doesn't automatically upgrade to a new version .

Still a great investment and the price is very good. I've been a happy user for a few years now!
Don't doubt about it Mslwte; it's just set and forget (after the lovely setup procedure of turning the pot with a accuracy of 0,01mm ).

Re: Elektron Model: Cycles - FM Drum Machine/Synth
I'm guesing someone will make a video about Digitone vs. Model:Cycles to explain the differences. Just fixed a almost 20 year old machinedrum; these units are very wel build. I really feel Elektron is cutting corners now because they want to sell more units, so Elektron is getting closer to Behringe...

Re: Behringer 909 Clone _ Update / Price & Pics
Literally every synth that hits the market goes out with bugs. There simply isn`t the money for extensive beta bug testing any more. Most of the time I wait a few months before buying gear so that the first round of updates, firmware etc are out. They never sorted out the fucking Tempest, they've e...

Thanks for sharing, I'm going to check these.
Yesterday evening I was checking (again) some Mr G's stuff; I'm sure you know him. I like his blend of house and techno.

Re: Modal Electronics Argon8 wavetable synth
Modal are well known as the Rolls Royce of synths. They use quality parts. I`m very interested now they have a desktop version. I know Steve, but DSI and many other brand who I don't consider as cheap and rubbisch had encoder problems in the past. You only know you bought a Rolls when you need warr...

Re: Subsekt 2020
I must say that the forum is more quiet than when I joined it. I do notice a big difference. The more crazy typical Subsekt derailed c**t topics are all from a long time ago so some things have changed for sure. The labels looks like dead; it's my fault as wel as I can't contribute any great music. ...

I've marked the position of the pot with some painters tape on the Usamo.
Of course that's not some kind of child lock .

Re: Modal Electronics Argon8 wavetable synth
I have a Waldorf XT that I love, but I'm looking at $600 or more to replace jumpy encoders on it. That makes the Argon8 desktop very attractive.... Agh jumpy encoders; it's a plague on lots of stuff from diffrent brands. 600 dollar is a lot of money; are they gonna place golden encoders on the XT? ...

Maybe some older bookshelf speakers are also an option if they should fit my needs.
