Re: Organic sub rumbles?
Buy a contact mic and head out recording stuff. Some stuff I have used for sub texture. Pavement next to busy road that a lot of heavy goods vehicles use. The sound picked up through the ground by the mic is amazing. Flagpoles and long hand rails, hit em, longer the better for big low resonance. St...

Organic sub rumbles?
Hi folks! I'm curious to hear your opinion. I got kinda tired of synthesized sub bottoms, always the same sine-y stuff. I'm experimenting some ways to generate more organic subs. For example, I recorded some vents, pitch the recording down, EQd and played it in a sample. I'm also considering to use ...

Re: What Techno Producers are ITB only?
Hardware (especially "analog") is the most overrated production tool ever. It's unbelievable that, nowadays, with this quality and quantity of plugins out there, people continues to buy that narrative. Totally fucking stupid. I get the pleasure of "playing" something, physically... I still play and ...

Generative M4L devices?
Hey guys, I was wondering if someone knows some generative Max For Live devices. That would my employment: I prepare a Drum Rack with some percussions or a synth. The device generates a melody or a rhythmic/percussive patterns on the basis of aleatory and interactive elements (probability, etc.). I ...
Re: Ring Mod
You can get some Ringmod tones out of Soundtoys Crystallizer, but FreqAnalyzer, Ringthing or not the cheapest way to go the Ringmod Moogerfooger will be better for sure...I have an analog Ringmod in my Megazwerg, but haven´t used it with my guitar so far....will try that. I have a FreqAnalyzer actu...
Re: Ring Mod
BIAS FX and BIAS AMP are fucking amazing. The metal community is nuts about it. I used it loads on my Doom Metal album, it fucking rawks. You need decent processing to run it. https://help.positivegrid.com/hc/en-us/articles/205050729-What-are-BIAS-FX-amps-effects- That's nuts! There are some of my ...
Re: Ring Mod
Honestly none of them really do it for me. My love of ring mods come from hardware, and there really aren`t many that do that old school ring mod thing. The meldaproductions thing has like a billion options and still doesn`t sound even half as good as an electro harmonix frequency analyzer. So far ...
Re: Ring Mod
Didn't find that post, and I read tons of the older posts in the last months.
Anyway... which one do you like particularly among those suggested there?
Re: Ring Mod
This is another one that I like.. That I sometimes insert twice. It's for Mac anyway: https://christianfloisand.wordpress.com/2013/03/06/new-plug-in-dyner-ring-modulator/ Thanks for the suggestions... I'm going to try this one and let you know. I downloaded the Melda freebies pack when I originally...
Ring Mod
Someone can suggest me a nice Ring Modulator plugin? I'm fine with the Ableton standard one, but I was looking something more resonant, more powerful. I love adding textures to percussions with ring mod. I looked for it among my favourite plugin companies (like Audio Damage) but didn't find anything...

I'd love to read the tracklist, if possible.
Excellent taste, loved the mix.

Re: BLOC's promoter quit...
He said right things... but in the end he seems to me the classic case of a guy who's spitting in the plate he has been eating from for years. Bloc was a big mainstream festival, and lot of commercial artists played at it. End of the story. If we all want to re-transform electronic/rave music into a...

Re: Post punk thread
A lot of things have been influential in techno. Post punks influence only really runs through a certain strand. Techno has genes from everything, from disco to contemporary orchestral minimalism to african tribal rhythm, that have had more influence. i love post punk, industrial and post punk have...

Re: Post punk thread
Post-punk was almost my introduction to music. I consider myself lucky because it is a schizoid mix of punk, dub, funk, noise, primordial electronics, radical politics, etc... If you love those bands, you'll start to love plenty of new musical genres. It opens up a lot for a teenager. The classics a...

Re: Which DAW(s) do you use?
I tried Logic at the beginning but I didn't like it. I'm deeply in love with Live, mainly for the Session view (which let me keep a "live" approach somehow... and that's crucial for me, because I started playing guitar in bands) and for the instant and endless audio manipulation options. I'm not an ...

Re: Recommendations for good & affordable drum samples?
Goldbaby's classic drum machine samples (808 & 909) are very very good. Probably the best. The question is: we still need 808s & 909s? Record everything you have at home... or, just destroy samples and fuck with audio with the beautiful Ableton Sampler and play them like an Mpc with the Drum rack......
