Re: ---- Elektron User Topic -----
Anyone here using the rytm in logic? I can't get OB to sync properly. When recording there is always a slight delay around 25ms and it is never the same with different takes, it drifts around + - 6ms. It works perfect in ableton but I'd rather use logic.

Re: Recommendations on first outboard processor
Wow, so pretty much no budget. For $2K you should be able to get any of the options listed here.
I recently picked up an old lexicon vortex and am pretty happy with it. It can sound a bit thin but it produces some very cool textures, good for running as a parallel channel.

Re: Free soundtoys eq
I picked up all of their free ones over the couple of years. Because I got licenses for them (even though free) it meant that I could get the entire bundle for about £160 on their last sale.Insane. My buddy did this as well with little alterboy that was free a little while ago. Ended up getting the...

I say go for it. If you have the funds available and are curious about the AR you definitely won't be disappointed. Like it was said earlier, this machine is pretty much techno in a box. I love mine and couldn't imagine producing without it. Once you get used to the Elektron workflow (which can take...

Re: Artists that are assholes
I agree with Void. People in these top tier positions know how many people would kill to be in their shoes. Some apparently just let it get to their heads and ditch being humble. Forgot to mention at an hour before Bailey's slot was supposed to end he said he doesn't want to play anymore, and a bit ...

Artists that are assholes
Anyone have any stories about meeting artists you looked up to at one point, only to realize they're cunts? Last weekend Marco Bailey came through my city and I was on opening duty. The other opener and I both had great sets, no problems whatsoever. Marco shows up 2 minutes before he's suppose...

Re: Share your errors
The internet. Total waste of fucking time. Reading about other peoples problems. What the fuck do I care if some cunt can't decide what synth to buy, sell, trade or shove up his ass or he can't figure out how to make this kick, bass, stab or whatever? I don't. Then there are all the fucking whiners...

Was too cloudy during the time of the eclipse for me, but all night it was insanely bright. Like having a light on in the backyard.

I'll be out tonight, how could you miss it?
Should start in about an hour here in western Canada.

Curious about this as well, have a friend who swears by his 2500 but I certainly don't see anything special about the "groove".

Re: Sub Pac
My sampling slinky just broke so I'm interested. Although for that price I'd rather get a synth with a spring wave osc

Re: What Monitors / Headphones do you use?
Last week I picked up a pair of Event 20/20's, this week one of them started to hum and spit noise. A bit disappointed I waited half a year to get these and one of them is defective. Luck of the draw I guess.
Re: Sub Pac
How does the S2 perform if you're sat on a softer surface? I do a lot of my production in the living room on the couch etc. It's fine, it might take a bit of adjusting to get it sit comfortably but it works anywhere. You just might find it's easier to get the "sweet spot" when its strapped to a cha...

I know most of you turn a blind eye towards berghain style techno, but I've looked everywhere for info on this track and came up with nothing. https://soundcloud.com/ostgutton-official/berghain-07-function Silent Servant - Noise Treatment I starts at 1:18:00 Anyone have any info on this one? I have ...
Re: Sub Pac
I think these are great tools for getting an "idea" of the low end, especially the physical feeling. But there is no way I would ever even slightly consider using one of these for making any accuracy decisions on a final mix, it's not really what it is designed for, it's not sound, the transient re...

A heart rate monitor style beep with a bit of reverb letting it ring out
This kick: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daZdvQv ... atVforMatt - sounds like hitting wet cardboard (in a good way :/)
and of course 909 rides, especially noisey ones.
