Re: beginning to produce techno music

From what I remember, most DAWs can be downloaded for free so you can try them out before you buy. They just prevent you from saving any projects you start until you purchase a license. Re: Moog Sub 37

I have one. As already said here it has a great fat sound. You will also enjoy the arpeggiator/sequencer it has.

If you're interested in modular too, have you checked out the Moog Mother 32? It's cheaper, smaller and should give you that Moog sound if that is what you are after.

Re: layering kicks / tuning percussion

I've yet to download it myself, but Ableton 9.2 was released yesterday, and it comes with a new Tuner device. Has anyone given this a try with tuning kicks/percussion/banjo? I just remembered I came across this video a short while back. The guy shows how to tune a drum kick with the Tuner device In...

Re: A Jeff Mills 909 on eBay

I had a shit earlier & signed my name on the toilet paper I used to wipe my bot bot. ——— Cool.. But under, I mean, overpriced. Bloody hell. The insanity if buying something like that. How much more overpriced is a 909 in Oz with Mills' scribbles on it? I reckon we should buy it , everyone...

A Jeff Mills 909 on eBay

It's even signed by the big man. Anyone tempted?

I'm still saving my pennies for a TR-8, so I'm out.

Re: Techno Music Production Resources (Add them here)

If like me you're looking to gain a better understanding of using EQ and compression, i thought these two articles explained them well. They use pictures, which always helps me a lot. I'm still waiting for a pop-up book on music production. http://www.dnbscene.com/article/88-thinking-inside-the-box-...
